Thinking about one of these. I think its really unique and my AD has a brand new one in stock for 5750. Current list is 6600.

Does anyone know if they really only made 2000 total of these or is that their annual number?

They are annual number. they will keep making them every year. but number is still low compare to say a Rolex Sub :)

If its a sandwich dial, buy it now! that configuration has been discontinued.

I like the 590 also, but it seems many dealers have them and they are easy to find discounted.

Correct, for some reason I was thinking of the 560. Stand corrected.

No, since it's conception. All the while, the 590 is not sandwiched dial.

Only the Q series of 510/560/562/562 have sandwich dial. The R series and the present S series are all sausage or painted dials.

Hey! It is ok, no need to say sorry, in a forum, we are merely sharing what we know. When I bought my 560, I insisted I wanted a Q because of the dial. I had to fly to Hong Kong to buy it. Luckily, the tickets are relatively cheap and HKG is always a nice place to visit.
