dumb question, when should i go for a brand new submariner
sorry for the dumb questioin, only "real" watch so far i have is an omega seamaster.
And I am planning to get a submariner very soon, but I am confused should i just go to local AD here or should i wait until i have some travel aboard such as EU country? I guess the price there will be much cheaper? Thanks for any suggestions. |

My advice: Go to the local AD, try on the watch, whip out your credit card and walk out with a Rolex on your wrist. [Also verify that you have 'everything' that should go along with the watch: box, papers, stickers, cards..etc]
If there is an issue, you can easily go back to your local AD. |

Its not guaranteed you will find a certain model if you walk into a Europe store. The supply is worse here. Unless the FX/tax is such that you would save several hundred or a thousand dollars I would just buy it and enjoy it rather than stress out over saving a few dollars:thumbsup.

If you are looking for a deal, I would look in Watchrecon for trusted sellers such as DavidSW or takuya

Subs are very very common and not hard to find. Fly/ drive to a tax free state.

To get the best price for a brand new watch buy from a trusted dealer... They get them from the ad with warranty in your name..

Go to a local AD. Stay away from mall ADs. Go to smaller ADs, preferably those that are not part of a big chain.
Know how much you are willing to pay, offer it, and walk out with a new watch If you are in a big city, ask this forum for good ADs in your area. Or google for them. |

Davidsw.com and Takuyawatches.com are two that I know of, they also post some of their watches on the classifieds section here on the forums. |

Stay local and start a relationship with your local AD if you want to buy in person.
