they say gloss, but the dial Looks absolutely matte

Not trying to strike too fine of a point, but it is definitely more glossy than my SD4K, but not as glossy as my GMT.

Agree looks matte in pic.

So the DSSD Clasp is gone and the new SD uses a version of the sub clasp?
I.e. The adjustment mechanism while the watch is on your wrist is a thing of the past?

I guess the DSSD will still utilize the flip up micro adjustment clasp, perhaps to differentiate from the RSD. It's the one feature I had hope they'd add to this new reference.

The previous 116600 also used the glidelock from the Submariner so the DSSD will still remain on the DSSD as it always has.

Odd from the pic above the clasp looks so short the diver extension will be exposed even in the tightest position

You're right Sam, the clasp does appear to be a bit shorter ...

It would be interesting to see it transposed next to a SubC

Only the DSSD has the clasp.

Yes, clearly a gloss dial unless some photo-shopping has been done. I seriously doubt it though.
It appears the dial doesn't always reveal its glossy nature in all practicality.
Possibly due to the thickness of the Crystal.

The sd4k dial reflects in the same way. The new SD has a satin dial as of Basel. So unless Rolex changes it to gloss for mass production it is without a doubt, satin.

The Submariner has had a gloss dial for many years. I'm not aware of any fatalities caused by this

Are all 126600 models have same dial finish? From pictures, it looks like some are gloss and some are satin.

We know for sure there’s more than one edition of the watch and some have a small coronet between the words “SWISS MADE” at 6 o’clock position.

Are there also different dial finishes?

Since having started this thread, I have had multiple opportunities to buy, see, and compare the 126600 side by side with my 116600. With the obvious exceptions of date window, Red text etc., the finish itself is the exact same Satin finish as the 116600. Satin finishes appear as a Flat Matte finish in more direct head on lighting, yet can appear as a gloss finish in lower light conditions...or when viewing from side angles! As for dial variations, we know they have already made some slight changes as you’ve suggested, however, I have never seen one with a true Gloss dial like the 116610 has for instance!
