Unlike Mike, the view of my backyard is not as pretty.

Thank you for the nice gesture, here is my entry.

Here is a picture of one of my Omegas and my daughter when she was 4, starting her off early.

When I was 7 years old I wanted a "big boys" watch. Mom told me I had to save my money. I figured it was better to go out and actually earn the money rather than save a little of my allowance each week for the next year. Even though I was only 7 years old I knew I needed to get a job. I started knocking on doors and landed one. I painted a fence for a lady who lived down the road. I remember she paid me 30 cents an hour. So I was only 7 and couldn't do it all by myself. Each day my mom would help me get started after school by opening the paint cans and getting me a brush. I don't remember how long it took but it wasn't just a day or two; it was a while. Finally when I had saved enough money I rode my bike into town to the local Woolworths store and bought a Timex. My first actual watch.

Over half a century ago that watch started it all. I still have it and it still runs. I keep it locked in my safe. It is the most valuable watch I own and irreplaceable. I wish my mom had lived long enough to see how many watches her son has now.

True story.........

winner?
Jeesh I swear I'm losing it! Posted the Timex but forgot a Rolex picture.
Ok here is my 1978 AirKing.

Love the JLC Reverso. Might be my next watch for more formal occasions.

Thanks for the gesture!

Here's mine. My recently acquired 16613 and my old Seiko quartz. The Seiko isn't much to look at, but us the first "real watch" I'd ever had. I've had it for 25 years, it was a birthday gift from my parents in 1989. I had it serviced by seiko a couple years ago after a crown fell out. I love all the scratches and dings it's gotten over 20 years of daily wear. The spider dial it has going is also something I really like.

Anyway, it's not much to look at, but it's my favorite after my Rolex. Also, I don't know why I chose the sorry game board, just thought it was kind of funny.

Nice! As you can tell from my post I appreciate the history. Glad you were able to hang on to your first one like I was.

Awesome gesture illiguy.

It was a very hard decision to pick my favorite Rolex and favorite non-Rolex but after days of thinking about it I have made up my mind.

Very nice gesture! Here's my only watch while sitting at a red light. Which is definitely one of my favorite environments!

So romantic! I'm glad I'm not judging this competition, too many nice photos to choose just one winner!

And the winner is ...

tamjosiah for this lovely picture. Thanks everyone for submitting such wonderful pictures. The decision was tough, but the Pepsi/Speedy duo stood out. Have a great weekend, everybody!
