Kissing 4 Insert

Which of these inserts do you consider the "Kissing 4" Insert?

Thanks Nick...one of the other images comes from a for-sale listing described as a Kissing 4 insert. The other two are mine. (#3 clearly the winner)

Just wanted to verify I knew what I was talking about :)

the fonts of the kissing 4 should be the thickest/fattest.

I'd say it was subjective, not definitive, personally. It's basically the degree to which the pads had worn when the inserts were printed. I'd say all are original 'fat font' inserts.

The top one (so-called MKIII, I believe) is all but touching/'kissing', so some may well call it that.

The second one (also appears to be a MKIII, which is also, debatably, a MKI) is even closer, to my eye, and is apparently touching the 0 with the middle arc of the cross on the 4. In snooker or billiards terms, that would be just about 'kissing' I think.

In the last one (probably known as a MKI - with a very worn pad) the fat 4 has just plain bled into the fat 0. That's beyond kissing; that's full-on, full-fat intercourse, to stay within the metaphor...

Just MHO of course.

Agreed - the wearing of the pads may be the only thing separating MK1s & Mk3s - how fat and how bled the fonts are. I have had numerous MK1 and MK3 inserts that you can follow progression from one to the other

Kissing 40 is just a faint touch, a hair off in some cases
