Me either. I'm staring at my crystal right now, and I can't see it.

Is it on all models? When did they start doing it?

Take a bright led flashlight and shine it from above watch at 12 o'clock and pointing it down to 6 o'clock. the crown engraving should jump out at you. Will be located at 6 o'clock. :)

And yes I do it from time to time myself. Someone should start a "show your Rolex crown etching" thread. :)

It took a while but I just found it on my new 39mm OP. I had to get the light just right and use a magnifying glass.

I went through a phase where I liked identifying the laser etched coronet on my crystal.

It wasn't due to any fear of it disappearing (!) but more the satisfaction of being able to visualise it at will once I worked out the knack for doing so.

The novelty of that has worn off for now.

I doubt you are either of those things. You are just a watch tragic - like the rest of us.
We like to enjoy the 'fine detail'.

I just can't find it on my watch; oh wait I'm wearing a Breitling tonight.

Yesteday, I caught a glimpse of the one on my DJII with my eye alone. I couldn't get it to show again however. It is a cool little artifact.

I've heard they can only be spotted five times and then vanish forever. I suggest spreading your ocd out
