Pick one and enjoy (Smurf). Wash, rinse, repeat.

I'd get the smurf to start - get a feel, and then see what sings next. what's going to happen (IMO) you'll get all of them and end up w/ a clear favourite...and the other two will feel meh to you...better to enjoy a bit at a time and build up a love for all!

I agree with Neil. And out of what you have said you want I would go with the Smurf, the explorer and one of the other divers. For me there is too much overlap on the Hulk, SD4K and the DSSD.

Agree with all of the get the grail first and see where that takes you comments. One of the joys of this hobby is thinking/hoping/planning/researching what the next one will be. Or at least, it is for me.

Yup, the hunt is one aspect about this hobby that dovetails nicely with the actual buying and ownership of your timepiece.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune by the way. At least you're at this exciting stage in your life where you can buy some pretty amazing pieces!

Most definitely get your Grail first, and savour it. I was told the first Rolex you buy should be the one you keep longest, build memories with it and when you pass it on it will have a kickass story to go along with it.

The others can come (and go) as you please, maybe you might find the other sports watches are too similar, maybe it's really your thing and you want a dive watch collection.

Most important thing is you get what you love, and love what you get. Can't go wrong with that, whether it's five or just the one!

How about if I may add throwing in the following
An SS Daytona, Pepsi GMT and the deepsea blue ?
Or a dream combo platinum Daytona and a DeepBlue?

Great, superb or perfect .. Help please!

Get the smurf and a daily driver, perhaps a GMT if you like to travel. Hold off on the rest.
Good thing is that if you get a nice deal you can always cash out.

Regards

Welcome to the forum! I would suggest you buy quality over quantity. For me the real sweet spot is 3-4 watches. Too many more, some sit unworn. Also when looking for number 2, only purchase one which will be number 1, your favorite.

Welcome to TRF. If your grail is attainable why not start there.

Welcome to TRF, and sorry to hear about your accident.

I certainly agree with what many have said....buy one Grail watch now (Smurf or BLRO?) and then wait a while to see what tickles your fancy.

You should remember two things: so long as you buy correctly (ie. at the right price) you can flip without it costing much.....and that precious metal pieces tend not to hold their value quite as well as SS.

Good luck, and ENJOY!.... and let us know what you decide.
