Rolex Oyster Precision 6426

Got one few days ago as a novice watch collector. From the beginning it is getting slower almost 5 min. a day.The reason i found behind this is that the watch halts suddenly without any reason even on my wrist. What i applied a little shake to run it again.
Can anybody suggests what types of servicing it requires? Should i take it to authorized rolex servicing centers ?

Welcome to the Forum!

Watch appears to be in dire need of an overhaul. As an option, you could try to find an independent watchmaker in your area that services Rolex. I am not sure how much an RSC charges in your area, you could take it to get an estimate but do not be sticker shocked if they quote you a high price..

I don't think there is a Rolex Service Centre in Dhaka, is there? Have you wound it fully?

Actually i live in Chittagong. There is only a Rolex authorized dealer named Kanungo & Sons.
There charge for just overhauling is almost $250.Then i took it to their mother concern( Kanungo Watch & Co.-Age old in our city) and they asked only $120 :).What they said about the watch is that the movement got rust & it needs to be cleaned properly.

Sounds good. Show us a photo or two please! I travelled around Bangladesh a bit years ago, but never made it to Chittagong, sadly.
