41mm DJ makes the most sense in context to Rolex's entire range. 40mm is being reserved for the "dressier" Day-Date and the 41mm for the "sportier" Date-Just to help distinguish both models.

D-Blue will discontinue eventually...

Can't imagine a Coke GMT being offered without a PM tax...

Root beer GMT...

Those YM mocks are

Really curious what we may see for an Sea-Dweller anniversary edition though... likely a very minimal design change or a just a mechanical upgrade in typical conservative Rolex fashion...

Hope to see full SS DJ41 release next year. A hidden bracelet clasp is likely generations away...

Agreed. Would love another annual calendar option. Have been considering a Patek (or JLC perhaps) for that specific reason. I'd be thrilled to be able to stay in the comfort zone, which is Tudor/Rolex.

Agree if the SS Coke becomes reality I will be knocking down my AD's door. Even in WG it'll be something to aspire to. Platinum, not so much.

I'm starting to think that Rolex may not do ceramic bezels with the WG Daytonas. Otherwise aside from the dial there is no way to differentiate it from stainless. With the previous version the markers were different (dots versus triangles) but now they would be identical.

Agree those TT Daytonas look err interesting for lack of a nicer term!

Yeah...I don't think it's a given. Will be interesting to watch and see what happens.

The SS getting the ceramic before the TT/PM has thrown one big giant question mark into the mix, IMO.

I would hate to see the mark up on those.

Maybe a rerelease of some root beer?
I'm hoping they release some more pm models, rg sub, wg explorer

Will a Jean-Claude Killy Rolex ever come back? Imagine the return of the Rolex Dato Compax! A chrono plus full calendar. Someday?

(Not my picture, of course)

A high-rate movement will be great whenever it shows up (probably far in the future).

A jumping hour Prince would be interesting.

Definitely want to see more with the bezel-control, such as the idea of a DD Annual.

My predictions

1. New sport model in titanium
2. Deep Sea black dial will be discontinued, Deep Blue will remain
3. Sea Dweller to get hint of red on dial

I'm probably wrong about all 3 but it's fun to anticipate...

All I want is a rotating steel 24hr bezel on the Explorer II so it can be used for 60 minute timing

Would be interesting to see what if any impact a SS Coke would have on the price of a BLNR.

I would agree. I met Philipp a few times at the annual Fourtane/Cr Week watch GTG as well as he attended my event back in 2009 in Carmel, and he knows his game.

Philippe examining a SeaDweller with Eric Ku (www.10pastten.com) in the background.

No telling what his sources are, or what powers his intuition, but he does have a good handle on Rolex's mindset on new models.... (FWIW, images of Philippe as well as Jake Erlich of Rolex Magazine are posted at https://www.minus4plus6.com/GTG-Carmel.php)

As usual, we will all know if Philippe is correct this spring....

If they do that with the SD I am in trouble with the wife.

Good news is I probably have a year plus to save.

What would a GMT Master "Coke" in SS cost? 7500?

I also think WG. Might be an incentive for the ceramic pepsi owners to complete the set (from a marketing perspective).

I don't see it being cheaper than a BLNR and with the annual price hike probably closer to 9k.

Some of these look to be recycled predictions from last year that didn't happen. I mean if I were to make 20 predictions, I'm pretty sure a few would be true. Just Kidding, kind of, sort of, not really. Just my opinion on the below:

-I don't think we'll see a new Coke SS. If anything that won't be happening until the introduction of Calibre 3286 or 7 and perhaps the discontinuation of the BLNR. IF it were to happen next year then it more likely would be a second WG GMT bi color bezel, replacement of one of the YG models, or if Rolex was really adventurous a new PM model such as RG. This would be unlikely though since it would give more metal offerings than the Submariner. Only the Daytona and Yachtmaster would offer more types of metal models.

-Day Date with Annual Calendar: I think a possibility, but a rather long shot. When Swiss watch sales are down, it would be much smarter to launch a more approachable SS shocker. Plus Calibre 3255 is new to the range, so I'm not sure about a whole series of high end pieces based on another calibre.

-I'm not sure blue is any more of an anniversary model color than green. I find the blue Sea Dweller 4000 highly unlikely. They have Tudor for that and the Smurf and TT versions of the Sub. If anything it would probably be very subtle dial markings or something on that line. Or perhaps it is the first professional model to receive the Calibre 3235

-TT Daytona C's were on the predictions last year. I think a WG C is way more likely. The TT C's would be too close to SS and erode their brand goodwill from the whole supply demand perspective of what they're trying to accomplish with the SS model. They want to drive sales further up the line. A TT with Ceramic would come in close to $19.5k USD IMO. Bridges the gap, but PM pricing territory. If they did offer this IMO it would more likely be a TT RG model with Ceramic. Maybe a few dials that are more dressy/jewelry like as well vs the utilitarian bland dials.

-YM Ceramic: Prediction from last year that didn't happen. No way they erode Ceramic Sub and GMT sales with this. The only rationale for the up charge on the SS YM was the PM Bezel. This would throw everything out of whack and doesn't make much sense. Perhaps a WG version with Ceramic on Oyster Flex is more probable. No way any SS model is ever put on anything but a SS bracelet. Why would Rolex break years upon years of precedent in straps only on PM models.

-Patents/Turnograph: I'm not sure Rolex needs another SS model added to the current line, unless they have tons of unused cases sitting around that they need to move post slow down. The technology may be too advanced to introduce in a SS model and not make sense with pricing. More likely is an additional variation of a current PM sports model.

-DayJust 40: No way Rolex revises the case size a year after introducing the TT models. It makes those current models way too rare if taken off market and/or for a sloppy model line of varying sizes. Not going to happen. Besides what sense would it make for your supposed sportier SS model to be smaller than your supposedly dressier TT models.

-DeepSea: This is the same prediction as last year. Doubt the model is going anywhere. D-Blue dial perhaps, but was that really even in "production" anyway

As a whole not super impressed by this year's predictions. Guess we'll see at Basel
100% agree

Red SD4K
Blk/Red GMT steel (economy is fragile, Rolex needs heavy hitters like this and Daytona500 to keep brand hot)

Look at current cost of BLNR and I'd say they'd be the same.
I personally don't think they will do an SS coke but who knows.
