Started in my teens with a Tissot PR516 and moved on to various TAG's, Seiko's before getting into mechanical watches with Minerva, various JLC, Panerai, a few Lange's and Patek's before buying my first Rolex GMT. Since then I've added an AP Royal Oak and a Speedy, and two more Rolex GMT's.

Too many to list and nothing worthy of note on this forum.
My first watch was a Lord Nelson back in 1959. Rolex (114270) was my first "luxury" watch. Now I have four Rolex watches and three Tudor watches. I still have a bunch of lesser watches that I love and still wear periodically.

A few off brand digitals and a timex growing up, but my cousin gave me this Casio when I graduated from college. It was the first watch I had with a metal bracelet. This one actually started my path into watches and will hold a special place in my heart.

12 y - Komandirskije - old, father's watch that he bought when he was serving in Soviet army;
16 y - Russian electronic watch with different melodies (could not afford to buy better looking Japanese electronic watch with more melodies); 18 y - Orient: it was dream watch as it was Japanes automatic watch, highly praised in my country as luxury item. 26 y - 40 y - Tissot PR100 CronoAlarm: very nice Swiss quartz chronograph. Acquisition of this Swiss watch symbolized my first bigger achievement in my carrier. 40 y - Rolex Datejust II: bought for my 40th anniversary. |

Great thread idea. I don't think I ever stepped back and listed how my collection/tastes have progressed.
12y : Blue dialed ESQ gifted by my uncle 13y : Nike sport watch on rubber strap 16y : Guess tank watch on steel bracelet 22 - Citizen Eco Drive, Some Bulova watch 23y : Victorinox diver on blue rubber strap, Hamilton Jazzmaster, some Timex "TX" chrono watch, some Movado "Bold" watch 25y : Hamilton x-copter, Hamilton Khaki Aviation QNE 30y : Hamilton Jazzmaster (gift from my wife), Omega Speedmaster FIOS, IWC 3714-45 31y : Nomos weltzeit True blue, Rolex BLNR I still own everything except the Bulova, TX, Movado and that random Nike sport watch. Definitely have some regrets and learned some things on the way (thinking about you Timex "TX" watch and Bulova). |
