Brushed Daytona 116500LN (PCL's and lugs) by LA WatchWorks ~pics~

Hello friends

I decided not long after Basel that if I got my paws on a 116500 I would brush the PCL's and lugs and die happy. Well...I contacted Edvi at LA WatchWorks and put the plan in motion last week.

Edvi assured me that they were the shop for the job (which I admit I already knew ) and we agreed to a fair price. Watch was in the mail same day.

I'm currently awaiting the return of my Daytona via FedEx and will post a bunch of shots for everyone tomorrow by noon EST. In the meantime, here are a couple shots Edvi took for me to display Beau's excellent work.

Edvi advised me that Beau took great pride in the job and I think it shows. I will know for sure when it's back in my hands tomorrow AM. I want to say that LA WW delivered on their one week timeline and were a pleasure to do business with.

More pics to follow...

-Tom

Wow, looks like it came from the factory like that, purists will scoff but I like it a lot!

I might be the only one that prefers PCL to brushed but wow that looks like it came that way from the factory. Interested to see the final outcome.

Thank you. That's why I felt I should post. Lately I don't do incomings and such anymore (probably just a phase) but I thought others might be looking to do the same and it would be a good reference.

Thank you. Props to Edvi @LAWW on the photos. I won't have as good a camera I can assure you

Thanks! Edvi said that I am the first one he knows of with the balls to do it but I imagine that isn't true. The online watch community is much smaller than the whole

PS: he also agrees with me it should have left the factory like this (no disrespect to those who love it as is...I understand it's already great)

Thank you. I agree and will confirm in about 12 hours. I knew from the start that if I needed any work done they were first call.

Thanks my friend. I know it won't be for everyone and that's cool as it's merely my watch. I have scoffed at mods before so I will not be taking offense to criticism. I get it. Rolex delivers perfection and keeping it as is...is usually the way to go.

I have contemplated doing this to a lot of Rolex to be honest so if I like the result watch out.

Thanks! I respect the love for PCLs. I get it they offer another dimension of sorts to the look and it's how Rolex intended. That said, I'm a brushed fanboy and won't hide from that. I had my BLNR for a year and never once wore it on the PCLs

Thanks! I don't see it as ballsy to be honest. I have 0 intention of letting this one go. That's coming from a bonafide flipper. Only other people flipping more than me are named Seth (og), josh(new Seth) or they are a dolphin.

I will be eager to see the work. I do think if it is brushed it will have more worry free wear. Although PCLs are nice, sometimes I really enjoy the toolish appearance of brushed bracelet

Sorry for the lack of pics but I couldn't restrain myself when edvi sent the pics over. I don't like to string people on so I promise more pics tomorrow around noon give or take depending on if I get ahold of a better camera.
