I can't get this baby out of my head! How versatile is it?

I tried this (116718 green dial) on a couple of weeks ago and I can't get it out of my mind! So, my main concern is the green clashing a bit as I found that to be the case with the Hulk and ended up selling it after 6 months. Also, I'm concerned with how versatile it is? Also, a buddy called it an old man watch, but I'm not sure about that. Would love any and all opinions.......oh and a few pics

Borrowed pic.

The green/gold combo is cool - but the black bezel throws it off... But it's so unique, if you love it go for it. I don't think it looks like an old man watch - it's not a DJ...

I wouldn't call it an old man watch, but I would call it...um, well I think there are better looking watches out there. What do you like so much about it?

More than versatile I see it flashy. But not bad considering other similar watches. Of course, that's just my opinion.

I like it, but would likely pick the 116618 (blue dial YG Sub) over the green dial GMT,

Think the gold Sub with the blue dial is the best looking watch Rolex makes. You can find a nice gold sub for about equal dollars. Just my personal opinion.

Agreed ... though if still on a GMT kick or hunt
Get the black dial YG GMT instead of the green dial!!!
Personally I'd get the YG Bluesy instead like my TRF
buddy I quoted ....

If I were going to buy a gold GMT that's the one I would get. It's beautiful.

It is imho best of breed solid (yellow) gold 6 digit gmt but i would get a 16710 now and hold on to it. That is a versatile watch.

I think it's the most stunning ceramic GMT in the line up. When I owned it, I got more comments than any other watch I've owned.

Versatile? No...I would give that to the BLRO (of the PM range). But hey, when you look like that, who needs versatility?

The GMTII is a very versatile watch in my opinion.

I don't believe in "old man" watches.

It's the silliest thing I ever heard of.

Not really a fan of PM sport watches, but, if you're gonna do it, I'd go OG Lloyd Bridges style.

OP, take another look at the pics. I think it looks great on you. I have one and love wearing it. The green dial is low key. Seems like you can't get it out of mind, if funds allow. I say go for it.

It's competition is above- the YG sub with black dial. Not sure why but black dial GMT doesn't do it for me

It is a fantastic piece. That flat green dial is beautiful, and while it can be very flashy, it certainly is not "old man". I guess you either love it or hate it. Good luck with deciding!

I love it as I am warming up to green dials. Looks really cool, would be nice to have in a rotation to add to a variety of watches. Definitely not an old man's watch!

It's not an old man watch for sure! It's beautiful and looks great on your wrist. This green on the GMT dial is quite different from the green 'Hulk' dial, which I prefer the flat green more. I tried this twice at the AD and cannot get this beauty out of my head too.
