Icon4 Rolex Warranty Work Shutdown for 2 weeks?

Hello, I just spoke to someone at Rolex in Dallas and was told that any warranty work on watches will not be done for the next weeks? Apparently Rolex is updating their Serial numbers and systems in the next two weeks starting on Monday, February 20, 2017.

So if you have anything in repair or needing repair it ain't happening for the next two weeks. Can anyone in the know confirm this information?

Ok, so I called another store and was told that ALL Rolex repair centers in the USA are on this two week shutdown while they update inventory and serial numbers.

No first hand experience, but I've heard this from a number of folks.

Usually they say repair work is a 4-6 week process. With the shutdown they are saying 6-8 weeks.

Everything Rolex USA is closed. They aren't shipping any new watches to ADs either.

Heard operations shut down starting feb 27.

Sounds like they need a better IT architecture. 2 weeks seems rediculously to have an it system down. Hey Rolex, I can send you my resume!!!

Unlike us, most likely there is a built in holiday for the staff, good for them

I was told the same thing about RSC Dallas, while I waited on new wrist band I ordered a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately my order arrived before the shutdown.

I bought a 16710 from DavidSW and brought it to RSC NY to see if there was any service history. They said it was a 2005 with no service history. So I agreed to an overhaul. This was on 1/31 and they gave me a 3 weeks promise time. I really hope I do not have to wait an additional two weeks because I literally had the watch in my possession for one hour and it was while I was at work so I couldn't really play too much.
