Problem on the pledge member

A few months ago I did for the second time a donation and got the pledge member 2016, the first time I did it stayed for a year even after New Year. This year I didn't pay attention until today but just noticed I didn't have the after dark part, checked my name on a post and I am just trf member, don't really care as I don't sell here and don't like the specials this gives right to, but for those who do care and sell this isn't great

It's about supporting the forum, not joining to sell things.

The only 'problem' is you have not forked over $25 for 2017

Hi lapince

I haven't been a member of TRF long myself and I decided to be a pledge member even though I am not a seller. I joined later in the year, paid my pledge donation and that pledge membership ended in a few months because January is when annual pledge memberships are renewable. If you paid twice, perhaps you may have joined the forum and then entered the Explorer watch giveaway (winners posted Dec 16/16 on the AfterDark Bar forum that can only be accessed by pledged members).

I am not treated 'special' just because I am pledged: it is my choice to support Rolex Forums.

Lol-x, Rolex Forum Administrator, has a sticky at the top of the Rolex General Discussion forum:

that describes the forum's notification to members on pledging by the year.

There are many members who have chosen to be regular members, who have have been on TRF for years. You have that same choice: be regular or be pledged.

Take care,

All the 2016 pledge memberships expired about a month ago. It doesn't necessarily last for a full 12 months -- that would be very time consuming for TRF's admin to monitor, since folks pledge throughout the year

Hi Arnaud - it's about $1 per 120 posts in your case. Give or take for those about to check my calculations. Well worth it....

Well I am not very good in maths but it was if I remember correctly 30 or 35 bucks, think that's ok? basically I think it was in September that I did it.
Paul I had "pledge" for about 3 months, and like I said it's not to sell or to have the extra advantages, I went one time on the after dark and my eyes were killing me because of the light, and for the extra messages I rarely write or receive messages so erasing them when I need is ok, so of course it's to help, and I couldn't care less if I am pledge or not, but some people might, I kind of find it funny in fact that it lasted just around 3 months, maybe they changed the policy and you get it until December 31st, not asking it back at all, more like a funy anecdote for me

Same answer than the one I gave Paul

Agree totally, if I had wanted back my pledge I would have written one of the mods, by posting I am just sharing what is for me a funny anecdote and bringing it to their attention if something is wrong for other members so that they can correct it for others if needed, but by no way do I need it, I am very happy to contribute and it's really not a problem, just thought strange that in 2014 I think it went for 12 months and this time it probably stopped at New Year

Ok, best answer yet so that explains it, I guess a few years ago they had an other system as mine went for the 12 months on to the next year, thanks

Same here, I believe I put one watch and not even sure, since it's mostly US based and since my selling history has always been to a grey dealer friend no one would buy from me anyway

now that is a great answer and put a huge smile on my face as it is very funny and probably on the spot calculations wise

But yeah you are probably right in that they stopped as I only see 2017, beofre there were many different together, 2014, 2015 and special names, seems they decided to do simple, so that must be right, since my dog ate my credit card and since I will probably forget, I will probably have it again by end of 2017 lol

Nice to be getting all your valuable information for free now A.

Send me a PM if you want pledge membership.

We do need the $$$'s to keep TRF going just in case you thought otherwise.

The main mystery here is why you thought that "Watches (Non-Rolex) Forum" was the place to ask about this.

Moved to Feedback & Support.

Well quite simple, I never even noticed there was an F&S plus like I said it was more like a funny anecdote, not sure the guys who know me would have looked in another section, plus I like to keep you guys busy

if you're going to pledge for 2017, might as well do it now. if you wait too long, you'll be making this same thread in March 2018

Mid August - End of February is "3 months". More like 6.5.

$25 is $30 or $35.

We have ever been inconsistent in the Feb-Feb period from the beginning.

Time flies when you have fun Paul. Or the sight of too many nice watches makes us disoriented.
