Should I ???Sell My Breitlings and get a Sea Dweller?
Quick Question for you guys -
I wanted to get your thoughts on this. Last month I did my taxes and owed some money and decided to part with my Rolex Sea Dweller Ceramic 40mm. I was a bit hesitant to do so but needed some extra cash . I am now kind of regretting it and I am thinking of selling my Breitling Navitimer 46mm stainless band and Breitling Bentley 6.75 in order to fund another Sea Dweller. I wanted to see what you guys thought about this. |

You should hold your thoughts until after Baselworld, at least.

I'd keep the Navitimer and sell the other B.
Save a bit more and get the SD. Navitimer and SD make a great pair.

Another vote to keep the Navitimer but sell the Breitling Bentley to raise funds.

Something doesn't make sense to me: at the start of this, you had a Rolex and two Breitlings, and a month later you want to end up with the single Rolex, while taking a financial hit on all three in the proccess. What's missing in this equation is why, a month later, this makes better financial sense than simply holding on to the Rolex and waiting a month. Forgive me for getting personal, but it seems to me if you're having to sell watches to pay your taxes, maybe scratching your itch to acquire more watches isn't the sagest move.
That, and the two Breitlings you're talking about selling are classics in their own right. Comparing them to the SD4K is apples and oranges, but IMO, the single Rolex doesn't make up for the loss of two great Breitlings. |

I do not need to sell a watch to pay taxes. Felt kind of guilty .So instead of dipping into the savings it made more sense to sell a watch. I am not taking any hits on any of them. Just trying to figure out what stays and what goes.

So you're breaking even or making a profit?
ETA: Richard was kind enough to PM me and explain his situation. I completely misunderstood, rendering my earlier comments moot...although I'd still keep the Breitlings, fwiw. |

Navis are cool. The Bentley should have gone instead of the SD4K.. I understand they're more difficult to move.

As a matter of principle I oppose parting with watches except via my will. I think it's an unnatural act that one may have to answer for on judgment day. Were I you, I'd move to a state that is more reasonable tax-wise and hang on to my watches.

I would do it. I would probably have sold the Breitlings to pay the tax to be honest.
I agree with waiting a couple of weeks until after Basel releases though. |

Ok, so you have 2 Breitlings and 2 Pams.
I would sell 1 Breitling (Bentley) and a Pam and get the SD. Navitimer+Pam+SD = love
