What next? Lange?
So this is what I have in the collection so far
5711,114060,116500, 16570,15313,Reverso duo,Speedmaster Professional,IWC Portofino Automatic RG I'd still like to add a Lange to the collection Had the Saxonia thin 37mm and the 38.5mm Lange 1 on my wrist and they both look good. This is the first time I had a sub 40mm Lange on and I'm very happy that the lugs don't push passed my wrist. What do you guys think? One vs the other vs something else? Thanks

I would say your collection is missing a white metal dress watch. A Lange 1 in wg or platinum would be my choice.

My first choice is Saxonia Annual Calendar (Platinum or WG). My second choice is Saxonia Moon Phase (Pink Gold). Both have the big date.
Personally I don't like the Thin is because it doesn't have the second hand. Otherwise it looks perfect and clean. |

Were we not in a similar place a few months ago and you ended up with the IWC? In any event if the Saxonia comes in then I think your IWC is redundant. The L1 would be my choice therefore. Plus, I find the Saxsonia not that intereting as time only watches go. It's a little dull.
38.5mm is perfect. Looks great on your wrist btw. |

Plain old Lange 1 in rg. Get that and you could lose the IWC. Or...buy a Lange Datograph in pt and hit the jackpot. No need then for either the Daytona or the Speedy.

The case thickness of the Lange 1 makes it less of a dress watch, but still very nice and the 37mm still tempts me even without a sub seconds hand. I'll need another watch box at this rate so yes the IWC will be saying goodbye if I get another time only RG.

Between these two A Lange Sohne, I would prefer the bottom one, Lange 1. It's however my most favorite model is Double Split. If money is no object for you, you should be buying it

1815 Chrono
If you can find one. No longer sold as either a Boutique or regular AD model. I happen to think, while it lacks the big date of the Datograph it's a slimmer, more comfortable watch to wear on a daily basis.

I think you already have 2 dress watches, maybe you don't like but I think you lack a sports watch on rubber, Aquanaut or ROO, the ROO would be a real change in your collection, the Aqua would be a small change but still cool, a FPJ like was suggested is also very cool and nicer IMO

Great collection. Consider the FPJ chronometre blue, unique tantalum case, peerless gold movement and a stunning dial.

Saxonia is hard to beat for the price. My favorite is the 1815 up/down, but just knowing myself, would be hard to pay that over the Saxonia.
I love the idea of the FPJ CB as well, or maybe an H. Moser & Cie. for a dress watch. |

Lange 1 - perhaps the 'Darth' model.
I think its model number 101.035 - platinum case, black dial, black date window - a very cool watch. Lange don't make it anymore, but it'd be pretty easy to find one second hand. |

I have the old style dato in rg, great watch. FPJ or Lange are both amazing watches. I have tried Moser, much bigger than what you are considering. I would start with the Lange 1, you won't regret it.

Great collection, but I'd rather see a set of 3-4 pieces instead of 9. My two cents, and I fully understand if you like larger collections.

Lange 1 is a good choice. I really like the new Saxonia moonphase but it is a little larger at 40mm.

Now if we're talking hockey pucks, you need to try on one of the grand complications, that's a hockey puck. Just for the record, however, I wouldn't turn it down if given to me.😁 |
