Heading to SCal for a week. Anything worth visiting watch wise (and not watch wise)? Will be staying in La Jolla and West Hollywood. Thanks.

Just head to Beverly Hills and you have every flavor of watch.

You can find everything you'd possibly want in the triangle between Wilshire and Santa Monica Blvd. in Beverly Hills - AP, Vacheron, Cartier, JLC, etc.

Plenty of boutiques in LA (AP, Richard Mille, etc) hit up Sugarfish for sushi and have fun.

La Jolla cove has a Westime but selection is lacking. Restaurants and view are awesome. There is a whole lot you can do between LA and SD for fun. Newport has the only AP dealer with traditional jewelers but I have a feeling AP is dropping them soon because the never have anything special and the AP section is really lacking after the remodel.

Let me know if you need any restaurant or sight seeing suggestions.

Walk up and down Prospect (the main drag) in La Jolla. AP and Patek dealers, among others. Weather has not been great, some rain, so good luck.

Soulmate - I was going to recommend Sugarfish as well. Great place.

Eddie V's or George's on the cove in La Jolla. Awesome views and rooftop bar on ocean. CJ Charles is walking distance as well. Has ALS, Patek, no AP though.

Thanks. I assume these are mostly window shopping unless I want to pay full boat? Live in Manhattan but I always like to look when I travel. For some reason I buy more when I travel.

Great, thank you for the suggestions already. The trip is primarily because my kids "insist" on going somewhere for spring break and I will be f**ked if I am going back to Disney again, especially with a 3 and a 5 year old.

Yeah, seems LA weather is better the SD at the moment. Hopefully that will change. If not, we have a big house for the kids to go nuts while I hit the sauce.

South Coast Plaza has a few stores if you're in the Orange County area

I wouldn't expect much wiggle room because they're boutiques, so it's what you'd get here in Manhattan on 57th Street or along 5th. It's a great area to walk around in though. Lots of great clothes shopping too and a bunch of nice cars to stare at - lambos, ferraris, a Bugatti or two and a McLaren here or there. All the best.

Avoid Del Mar. I hear the gangsters there are pretty bad. Other than that, enjoy!

Pretty much in a min walking radius in BH there's close to 8-10 watch boutiques.

I lived in LA for a couple years and I'm trying to remember ever seeing people wearing nice watches. Nice cars everywhere, but I don't recall seeing too many Pateks, APs, Greubels or the like.

Within that triangle, there are also a number of jewelers that sell pre-owned watches. If you already know what you are looking for, and you are willing to pay cash, you can find some attractive deals. PM on which ones to avoid and where to tread carefully.
