AD calls :BLNR reserved

On the waiting list for a BLNR with 3 ADs, got the call from the one which is furthest away. 10 hour round trip. I can't get to them for 2-3 months.
AD says they cannot deliver in person or Send by courier. Is it just this AD or is this the way of all ADs?
In the U.K. by the way.

If it's Aurum group they will do store transfers. Otherwise go get it, flights are cheap.

Get someone to buy it for you and hold/post. I'm sure if you have a friend they would welcome the air miles.

Will they take full payment over the phone and hold in the safe until you can make it down there?

Do it! Just put the deposit down and when you can, make a day out of it. It'll definitely be memorable.

sorry, didnt see the price..
what are you paying for it? MSRP or some discount?

10 hr road trip is NOT very appealing to me at all, my 2 cents only.

Playing devil's advocate, and PLS do NOT get me wrong here, nyust being safe

1) Things can happen on the road travelling that long distance. Yu should be fine but...:)

2) Unless your getting a huge discount, like 15 or even 20%, i would not consider it. Thats JUST me.

Of vcourse, do I want the BLNR? Indeed I do, been klusting after one since Federer wore one in Aussie Open..
but travelling 10 hours..LOL....prolly not for me.

I might be jumping to conclusions but the OP is in Scotland. Getting a discount anything above zero might be a non starter. Infact I would say the OP has more chance of being hit by a meteorite tbh.

UK market and US market are poles apart

The U.K is a small country.

I live in Glasgow and even Lands End is 9 hours plus stops lol so are you sure it's 10 hours?
Also Edinburgh/Glasgow are big travel hubs, jump on a flight to London, Bristol etc or overnight train.....End to end you'll be there in a few hours by plane and with low lost airlines it shouldn't cost a fortune.

Do the adventure and pick up an amazing watch. The story will add to the appeal and the memory of the watch.

Just do it

get it if you want it....

but i'm shocked UK has wait times for BLNR. In the US at most major ADs (NY), although they may not have it in the window, you can pick up BLNR anytime or have it within a week. When i got mine, i had a choice of 4 to choose from (i wanted the most perfectly aligned bezel!)

So to sum up....

You put your name on 3 AD's lists, thereby helping to create this daft 'shortage of stock', ( and how many other people do the same I wonder) and now you are whining that it's hard to travel. I hope you have the courtesy to call the others.

Get on a train, for crying out loud.
