Officer down Tecumseh PD OK

Police Officer Justin Terney was shot last night while pursuing a fleeing subject at approximately 11:30 pm. Officer Terney succumbed to his wounds this morning.

He conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle near South Cooper Drive and Benson Park Road. The driver of the vehicle fled on foot and Officer Terney pursued him. Officer Turney deployed his taser, but it had no effect on the man. The subject then drew a firearm and shot Officer Terney several times. Officer Terney was able to return fire, striking the subject numerous times.

Officer Terney was transported to a local hospital where he died from his wounds.

Officer Terney had served with the Tecumseh Police Department for one year.

Godspeed my brother, you were way too young. We'll see you on the other side.

My post is in extremely bad taste. You dont have to be kind about it. I just think this is not an appropriate forum to post such things. Guns are not allowed in this forum for a reason. I think this is worse than many of the locked gun threads. A human died here. This is worse. If there was an image of it this thread would be deleted. Well this thread brings images of dead people in my head whether I like it or not. It is much worse than locked threads about duck hunting. No body forced these people to risk their lives.

That's some of the people who care.... maybe you just never gave it any thought?

Nobody forced them to do it. They knew the risks. They got paid for the risks they were taking. They lost.

You worked hard for the privilage of not risking your life and complaining about your cold coffee. You deserve to do it.

I trust that you are are not being serious and that I am missing the point??

Regardless of what we choose to do in life.

This is most certainly not the time or place for such comments.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

When I started these threads I did receive the go ahead from a moderator, if you have a problem with them take it up with the moderators.
I will continue to post them until I'm told to stop. They are always titled "officer down", don't read them if they bother you.

Very sad for you that you have such an outlook.

You were given a fair chance to reconsider your post and chose to confirm your callousness.

Just don't open the post and move on.
