Very nice pair and not redundant at all.

So, are you the guy the dealers tell me about when they say that only serious VIP’s can get a Nautilus?

I started thinking about this more.

Not sure...there are whales (those that buy minute repeaters, perpetual calendars etc). but I think most of us have purchased a few Pateks over the years and perhaps sold some. When you have bought a few Pateks or other watches, introduced your friends and family and they have bought some, and you have a good and friendly relationship that spans at least a few years. If you want a nautilus or two or three or even four, why would they give it to someone new over you? It's just basic good business.

That being said, if you are new to the AD and can prove you are a serious watch collector, they are always looking for new business. Look to buy a basic Calatrava or more at a 10-15% discount if you can, then ask to be put on the list for the Nautilus. Show respect to the brand - and the rewards are there : )

If you're scraping the funds to get your first nautilus and your total budget is $30k and you may have 1 rolex, you may need to call every AD and perhaps get lucky. However please remember that a $15k profit is equivalent to a windfall for most people, so you can bet that others are trying as well.
