Doubts About New Batman Have Been Erased

I had doubts about Robby playing Batman but this short clip with his new costume looks freaking serious.
You have my full attention now.
Very excited (but the Catwoman thing makes me a little mehhhh, she's rumored in this one).

Any guy can look good in the batsuit from the neck up with good lighting (dark lighting), good editing, and dramatic music.

Not sold on Robby being a good batman.

The trouble with Batman is that it is just fantasy, unlike Star Trek which is loosely based on a true story.

Batman is based on the true story of a guy (the Lone Ranger) who is a multimillionaire who fights crime in NY by driving really fast and flying down from tall buildings with his cape and putting criminals in jail while being chased by the police....and has really good abs.....

Oh wait......hang on.........I'm pretty sure.......no ....maybe he wasn't real......

I saw Batman a while back. Michael Keaton played the part IIRC.

You must be thinking Star Wars. They get mixed up all the time. Wars has bats, Trek has tribbles.

You should check out "Good Time" by the Safdie brothers, which starred Robert Pattinson. Similar to their "Uncut Gems" it's very frantic, and I think it showed that Pattinson is a real actor. Looking forward to his Batman!

You are so incredibly wrong, you obviously have it confused. That is completely based on the evolution of the Fast and The Furious series. This is eventually what they end up becoming. From simple car racers in LA to billionaire super hero fighting abilities driving in crazy fast cars that do stunts.
F&F is about 70% of the way there, Batman is technically F&F 25 The Future, duh!

Robert Patterson. Guy who played the vampire love interest from the Twilight movies. Skinny tall english actor.

Christian Bale was great. I even kinda got on board with Ben Affleck but Patterson? Mmm, not sold on him.

He looks more like the next Joker.

Does he actually have any abs. C'mon ya gotta have abs.

The Batsuit is gonna look like a kid in his dads wetsuit.

Hilarious.

Agree in that he doesn’t seem aptly suited for this role. But who knows, I’m hoping he proves me and the other doubters wrong.

I was all set to hate Affleck, but in the end, I liked what he did with it.
And I learned from that. Now I'm all set to hate this new guy, too.

Me too. I was shocked at how much I liked Affleck in the role.

He was no Bale. But in some ways, he was even better.

It's easy to mistake characters for actors and actors have been known to undergo considerable physical changes to land a sweet role.

I always thought Michael Keaton was miscast as Batman, although he is an incredible actor, so I could be wrong.

Funny you say that, because I've read a couple of articles of people who were originally cast for what became famous roles by someone else so you never know. Different actors would definitely have a different slant on the character:

Tom Selleck as Indiana Jones.
Jack Nicholson as Michael Corleone.
Al Pacino as Han Solo.
Will Smith as Neo. ...
Johnny Depp as Ferris Bueller.

Without it, how would he time-travel from building to building? Spider webs?
