Time keeping
Appologies if this seems a stupid question but I'm just curious. I'd wound my datejust worn it for the day then left it unworn for a couple days. When I came to wear it again it had lost a around 2 hrs. Is it right to assume an automatic watch naturally does this. I thought it may keep the correct time up until it stops dead?

It may have stopped for two hours but then you picking it up and putting it OJ was enough to start it again?

The DJ only has about 2 days worth of power reserve. So it's more likely the watch was running/ran down in power towards the end of that second day . Don't expect to be able to put down that watch for 2 days and have it to work well. To prove it's nothing more than that just don't let it sit for 2 days. Wear it, or otherwise wind it, every day and see if it still loses time.
The Sky Dweller with its 9001 movement, and all of the newer watches being uodated with the latest movements can now do 3 days so you can comfortably lay it down for a weekend and not worry. Mike |
