If you want a Rolex, buying any other brand will be a complete waste of money.

Looks beautiful. I would like to purchase this watch but in dark rhodium with the blue accents. I don't see it listed on authorized Rolex dealer websites. Is that colorway no longer offered?

Happy new year. New member here and first time Rolex buyer. I'm looking to purchase the OP 39 in Rhodium. Any tips/suggestions? I'm in NYC. Should I just go to an AD and see if it's available?

That would be the easiest way to get one I would suspect. Welcome to TRF.

As far as the OP is concerned; I agree, also consider different brands.

Opt. 1
If you don’t have a moon watch, good bang for the buck and you can still have a little left over new with all the case candy from an AD.

Opt. 2
If you are into Motorsports: you can get a Cal. 12 Monaco or the Gulf addition Monaco.

Opt. 3
If you like diver watches, Omega sea master 300 I really like the blue and grey dial configuration from the omega ads that Daniel Craig wears pretty cool...

Or you can just save for the Rolex you want...

For $6k get an Omega or an IWC.

Forget Rolex for now. Wait until the market corrects more and settles down even more.

Nice one! was looking at this model but was a bit worried about the long lugs, any wrist shots you could share?

For the OP I would go OP39 (again) or Seiko LX

With $6k, I'd try to get my hands on a used 5 digit sub.

It would be a toss up between any of those for me.
