Magnum's Rolex

OK guys, I might be off the forum for a while - I just picked up a box set of the first season of Magnum P.I. on DVD, all eighteen episodes of it.

Right now I'm watching the pilot episode, and he appears to be wearing a No-Date Sub on a brown leather strap. I'm squinting as hard as I can to confirm that, but you know how poor the resolution these early-80's shows are!

Yeah, you're right. I've been freeze framing like mad for the first three episodes and while the shape's similar, it's no Sub - good thing Sasha's asleep or all that stop-and-go would have driven her up the wall.

Hmm - you got Season 2 and I got Season 1 ... might we engage in a bit of piracy here?

I was talking about the shorts that hide nothing and even let out the occasional slip.

Hey, hey, hey, don’t mock that eternal classic: the Hawaiian shirt! I happen to own three. One of which is a Hanelei, late 40’s rayon and very rare. (And to my dismay has a hole in it, aaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh). But it seems it is just me who thinks so. Anne says I look like a prat in one of those shirts. Women, what do they know about those fine pieces of men’s clothing? I say every man should own at least one Hawaiian shirt! Like a 16610 part of the basic wardrobe. Just like a pair of khaki slacks.

My man, I am HAWAIIAN, trust me I know all about the shirts. First of all they are not Hawaiian shirts, they are Aloha shirts and second, in Hawaii they are only worn on Fridays and to special events like weddings.

It is like anything else, the over commercialized crap has ruined most of the brands that make the good ones.

I gathered that AFTER I posted this and followed the rest of the thread. Now let me hang up my Aloha shirt and I'll stand in the corner for 4 hours.
