I have an SD43 and YM40 and now finally going to bite the bullet and get an Aquanaut. I feel like my SD43 is too big and tried on YM42 and felt was a little big. Trying to decide if want 5968 or 5164. Has anyone compared 5968 to one of the larger rolex models?

I let this guy go at an opportune time. However I think it was the right decision.

Have a 64r and a 68a

The 68a wears much broader to me, you may find it too large based on your opinion of the SD43 and YM42

I agree - the 5964 wears smaller than the 5968 which, however, wears a bit smaller than the 5268.

Sheesh - this thread further confirms the travel time will remain a grail. Secondary pricing continues to put it out of reach, and not quite sure how I would ever make retail a reality with zero history.

Got my first Aquanuat (5164A) last week! For all the owners here, how long does it take for the rubber to soften up? I fit it loosely, and after a few days of wear, it's still quite stiff. I'm afraid to cut the strap further until it softens up.

Comparing my 11 year old strap to a brand new strap, they definitely do stretch by a few mm.
