Bremont MBII
Hi all,
Really looking at this watch, seems the brand is a bit marmite. Anyone own one? I have managed to get an AD to 20% off list which seems ok as resale seems quite poor. Any thoughts/advice welcome. Thanks all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Bremont MBII
I bought one new in 2014, 20% off. Resale value is terrible (I thought about selling/trading it a few times but just wasn’t worth it). I would think you would be able to get 25-30% off as the buzz around bremont is not what it used to be. My AD actually dropped the brand last year.
With that said, while I don’t wear it much anymore, when I do I remember why I liked it to begin with and it still brings me joy. It’s different from most other watches out there . While thick and on bigger side, it is light and it actually pairs well w different leather or nato straps. I have the one w the green mid case. Would def try on a few times if you haven’t already. I bought one from an AD, sold it 4yrs later. Was a fine watch....
In hindsight, wish I hadn't bought it.... then after I did, wish I hadn't sold it, around 50% loss. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |

Ouch, 50% sounds a big loss, wish I could find a used MBII at 50% of retail in the UK

Same here — Around a 50% loss. Although it’s not a bad watch, it wasn’t one of my favorites. I found the internal bezel really hard to turn, the crown for setting tough to pull out and the color really hard to work with (orange). On top of that, I found the watch to be very top heavy and hard to find a strap for. Thin straps and many NATOs left it flopping around. Good watch, just not for me.

A group I'm part of had a few comissioned. Each is made to order and bespoke to the buyer. They absolutely love them and got to go to Henley to see them being assembled.
I didnt pull the trigger as the style just wasnt what I was after. We were looking at very favourable pricing, I've not seen the prices published so would feel comfortable posting it. |

I guess I’ve been spoilt with Rolex residuals. Unfortunately I’ve been put off the Rolex brand by their ridiculous supply limitations and their ‘lists’.
Bremont appeals but I’m having second thoughts. Residual is not the be all and end all but rather not take a massive hit if I had to sell something on. Any other suggestions of brands to look at or anywhere where I could ease the initial loss on Bremont with a decent discount? Thanks all for you helpful replies so far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Why not buy a pre-owned Bremont? Part of this hobby for me is branching out from time to time . Buying pre-owned will decrease the “loss” should you decide you don’t like it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

It did seem like a great company, appreciated their customers. I've heard great customer service stories about them.

Just buy it pre-owned, after negotiating any discount. It retails for £3,950, so you’ll lose some if/when you move it on, but nothing like as much if bought brand new. |

I paid £3200 for mine from an AD in Cambridge. They have closed their store now but have one in Norwich. (WinsorBishop). I love the watch and have had a couple of hand made bespoke straps made to suit my military background.
