I cannot get a clear picture between lugs, however I can make out serial # barely and I believe it starts with a 4...

Can't tell if it's over polished because of the angle, but someone definitely mirror polished it. The bracelet looks to be on its last leg... very stretched.

Way over mirror polished. Bracelet weak.

Thanks fellas, this watch was given to my father by my mother on their wedding day in 1977. He gave it to me this weekend and I’d like to bring it back to it’s original condition, sending it to Rik Dietel Tuesday.

The original finish can be restored, as can the bracelet.

Got the watch back a few months ago and just wanted to update this thread, turned out better than I expected. Rick did an amazing job!

Rik does good work.
Glad it has come back to a factory finish.

But when your Dad had it polished to a shiny finish, there’s nothing wrong if that was the look he wanted.

Looks good.

Keep it clean and serviced and it should last you for your lifetime.

Congrats, what a nice piece and priceless sentimental value. It looks great. Did Rik "tighten" the bracelet too? How did he restore the original finish, skillful brushing or did he have to add metal?
