I have a great respect for that brand...very very beautiful and truly a timeless kind of designs...cant express how much I love the brand, all its pieces, great history and innovations,,,wish I could present my dad with one of their pieces but it will be years before I can afford such a stunt...absolutely stunning purchase ..great taste you have man!

Such a great watch from the company whose timepieces Napoleon used. Just beautiful. Can I ask, what is the model?

The model is 5140BA in white gold. It is from their Classique collection.

I am not that good with the camera sorry mate The secret signature is exactly halfway between Breguet mark and the centre of the watch, it is engraved in the enamel and you need really good light ot even see it.

The coin edge is especially nice. Very elegant watch.

While the watch is amazing, I think the history behind such a legendary watch company is the more amazing thing. Just imagine, your watch comes from the same company that Napoleon, Marie Antoinette, and Louis XVI favored for watches. That's just impressive.

EDIT: Here's an impressive list of Breguet's patrons.

Agree with the history. Anyone who buys a Breguet watch from an AD can send a form in to put their name in the book, which is on display at their museum in Paris. It lists all the people that have owned a Breguet.

You also register your serial number and if it ever gets stolen you can notify them and they notify all their offical channels such as SC and ADs.

At the end of all of this you get a letter personally signed by Nicholas Hayek and a catalogue.

That's impressive. I really like the registering part. According to their website, they've kept records of their customers since the 1700s.

If I get a chance to visit Geneva this summer, I will be sure to checkout their watches at the Patek Philippe Museum and their various boutiques.

Wow, I don't know of any other brand that has a client list as impressive as Breguet's (haven't seen Patek's yet). I mean, most of those guys have changed the world one way or another.

They could. You just wouldn't like the price.
