126613LB vs 116710BLNR

I currently own a 2017 BLNR & I’ve got a two tone itch I need to scratch, I’m toying with the idea of swapping my GMT for a new bluesy. I know these questions are often asked and many people respond with “buy what you like” or something along those lines. But, I’m curious to hear your thoughts. Would you go from a BLNR to the new bluesy?

Not for a TT sub. Only for TT Root Beer.

Can you add and then decide...or maybe just add?

I have BLNR and a Hulk, but if the Hulk didn't exist, I would have purchased a TT sub (maybe blue dial, maybe black = tough choice).

Sub feels a little larger on the wrist, which is nice, and has the glide lock. But you have the first generation BLNR with the older movement, which is worth something. I am glad I was able to purchase before the craziness. Even being able to try both on next to each other is tough in this environment.

Not sure if that helped, but I think having both is ideal.

I have both and took a couple of shots for you. I think Bluesy is a piece in a collection, while the blnr can be a one watch type of reference.

Thanks for that, sub looks great.

Below is my current collection, I think the bluesy would compliment it fairly well. I am reluctant to get rid of the BLNR though at the same time. I managed to try a 126613LB on last year and I thought it was stunning. First world problems, right?

Had the BLNR when it first came out in 2013 paid £5950 rrp from AD, don’t get me wrong it’s a nice watch but it’s definitely not worth these crazy double SS prices what are flouting around at moment makes me laugh, but each to there own. I have the New Bluesy now IMO one of the best rolex dials they do it’s stunning, plus the glidelock clasp unbelievable, I buy watches for there looks and the New Bluesy blows the BLNR out the water all day long for me. Good luck.

I would not as the GMT is a very useful complication for me

I have to say I agree. Current SS model prices are completely ridiculous as we all know. I often wonder whose paying them to keep the prices up? Humans are a strange species!

That's a tough call. I am not a TT kind of guy but really like the 126613LB. If you really like it go for it you can always go back.

I love the bluesy sub but you'll regret losing your monotone steel when your eyes get tired of the bright colors. If you have other black steel watches (even omega) then maybe.
