Wow! Great piece. Don’t change it at all. “Just say no to polishing!” Your dad made it as it is. I would cherish knowing that history and preserve for grandkids, etc.🤙

I love the patina. But to me it’s more a testament that these watches should be Worn! The next time you read a “is it OK to wear my Sea-dweller in a light rain?” Thread remember this. This Gentleman wore a Milgauss to the beach every day for 10 years. Great story, thanks for sharing it.

It's an interesting comparison. Other than the dial coloring there doesn't seem to much difference between the two as far as wear. The dials looks good on both of them!!!

On the subject of testing: "Aging tests are carried out... the resistance of the dials to UV rays, for example, is evaluated to make sure the colors remain stable over time."
