Nothing to worry about. Just send it in to RSC and have them put a fresh dial in it. Good as new again.

Wow! Great piece. Don’t change it at all. “Just say no to polishing!” Your dad made it as it is. I would cherish knowing that history and preserve for grandkids, etc.🤙

To be fair to the sun, much of that is the result of tanning beds.

Matte grey dial. Look for it at bezel 2019!

I'd like it better if all the text did not get bleached out also .. Be nicer if the orange and whites still popped on the faded dial ...

I love the patina. But to me it’s more a testament that these watches should be Worn! The next time you read a “is it OK to wear my Sea-dweller in a light rain?” Thread remember this. This Gentleman wore a Milgauss to the beach every day for 10 years. Great story, thanks for sharing it.

It's an interesting comparison. Other than the dial coloring there doesn't seem to much difference between the two as far as wear. The dials looks good on both of them!!!

From the latest ROLEX MAGAZINE #8:

On the subject of testing: "Aging tests are carried out... the resistance of the dials to UV rays, for example, is evaluated to make sure the colors remain stable over time."

DOH.
