Selling BLNR for 321 Ed White

Am I crazy if I sell my BLNR to purchase 321 Ed White Steel model?

If you don’t want a GMT and want a very good chronograph, it’s a very good move IMO

I love my Speedy. I really do. I’m wearing it right now as a matter of fact. I don’t like it enough, though, to spend that kind of money. If it were me I’d buy a standard 3861 or used 1861 and keep the BLNR.

The ed white is so much more watch than the BLNR. I’d do that in a heartbeat

I'm jealous. My Rolex AD has an Omega Boutique and I'm first in line for a 321 Ed White, but they haven't gotten one yet. I'm keeping my BLNR though.

They aren't making anymore Ed Whites.

I usually tend to go chrono > gmt, but here I wouldn’t. I’d keep the gmt and add a 321. If you cant, maybe a “regular” speedmaster would scratch the itch and allow you to keep gmt while also saving a bit.

They're still in production and are only limited by movement production, which they only have the capacity to hand make 2000 year that are split between the steel and platinum 321 models. Covid severely reduced that number to a couple hundred but production has been ramping up. You should see more on the market soon but they are rarer than any other series production Omega at the moment.

Tough choice. That’s one serious speedy, that along with the new silver snoopy.

It’s nice, but only because I like the bracelet more than the standard new speedmaster, which I also like. But there is a 8k difference and could care less about the case back. I would just get the standard new one and keep the blrn. As much as I like the Ed white, would not spend over 10k on an omega.

I am a fan of Rolex but the 321 is in another league. It’s the most impressive watch I have seen in a while. Good luck with your decision

No way I’d make that trade. I’m a Speedy fan and really like my Speedy Pro, but the BLNR is, to me, a much more better and practical watch. Like others said, just but a regular Speedy Pro and keep the BLNR.

I'd keep the BLNR and get a regular moonwatch.

Got to agree with most here and say keep the BLNR and just get a regular Moonwatch with the 3861.

I loved the idea of getting a 321 powered Speedy when I first read they were reintroducing production, as it’s a truly superb movement…., but then I saw the price and that was an immediate no-go for me. The markup over the regular Moonwatch is too much for me to justify, even with the 321. (Plus I don’t actually like the bracelet or the fauxtina on the Ed White anyway).

It’s a legit compromise to keep the BLNR and get the 3861. But at the end of the day it’s a compromise. I have a BLNR and a 3861 and I’m waiting for the 321. Problem is the wait. Tempted to go secondary. One way or the other, there is room for all three.
