So I need some help !!!!!

I'm torn between these two amazing Rolex Datejust II's

Both are now discontinued and will be worn regularly but not daily. I initially thought the silver dial with blue Arabic numerals was the one. It looks completely silver at first glance until the light catches it and you notice the light blue highlights but I've just been offered the blue dial with white gold fluted bezel, which is simply beautiful.

What do you all think?

DJ41, smooth bezel, blue stick dial jubilee. The bracelet is super comfortable, it provides a very refined 'bling' while the watch case with smooth bezel remains modern and sporty. The 41is great every day watch.

If you're looking at the Blue "sticks", i prefer the DJII with smooth bezel. It was my first Rolex, and i love it!

I like the Arabic dial DJII. It is on my short list as I like watches which are a little different than the standard stick dials, etc.

DJII. My wrist(8") is too big for a DJ41. I've tried many on and the DJ41 just looks too small.

Just out of curiosity: what are your concerns with regards to the 3225? My DJ41 has one, should I also have doubts?

Oh, and to the OP: make *sure* you try them both on at least once. Watches seem to be one of those items that can really look / feel different in person. In this case, purchasing 'blind' so to speak might end up costing you a lot of money to remedy. More importantly, the days of uncertainty and doubt subsequent to your purchase about making the right choice is no way to enjoy a new watch. Always take time to see, feel and experience a new watch in person it's time well spent.

DJII fan here - feels sportier and more versatile.

DJ41 feels like a larger version the of dj36, overall dressier.

DJII feels like it’s own unique piece, Love Mine!

I had same dilemma about 2 months ago. I like the big batons on the DJII but I do not like the small hands in relation to them — it looks weird to me. Much like the too small hands on the Explorer I when it first came out in 39mm and the metal 3-6-9. In both cases, Rolex should have sizes up the hands to match the larger watch.

The DJ41’s hands “match” the batons. Plus you get better movement and more bracelet/dial combinations to choose. I ordered a blue, smooth bezel, batons on a jubilee.

I am thinking maybe my next watch could be the DJ41 with blue diamond dial with oyester bracelet and a fluted bezel. As I love blue dials and the blue skydweller will be too difficult to get. This one’s simple and elegant and diamonds might add some extra bling and class hehe. Currently own a sub date btw that I bought couple of years back.

Fond of the DJII. One watch I should have held on to.

I personally prefer the more robust look and dimensions.

As for accuracy mine is less than +1 second a day and the power reserve is more than adequate.

Agreed. The DJ2 looks good.

Dj41 all day, as many others have stated, the proportions of dj2 just doesn't look right. I prefer larger watches, but not in this case.

The blue dial DJ41 with fluted bezel looks great. Now I am thinking I should get one with the fluted bezel as it just looks beautiful.

Here is mine... it has more of a sportier look with smooth bezel and oyster bracelet.

Collected mine today. Love the Blue dial and Romans numeral. The flute and the jubilee make it quintessential Datejust to me white the steel bracelet, blue face and Roman numerals give it a much more youthful look compared to some other traditional configurations.

Nice one. I was making an order of DJ41 with my AD and they showed this one to me. It's really stunnig in a real life.
(I ordered blue or rhodium - which one comes first, with fluter and Oyster)

Lovely, whichever you get, you'll love both. A shame you're not in the UK, I know of one AD that has the blue with Roman's, fluted bezel and on an oyster strap.
