Rolex LEC
I got my 1986 16800 serviced at the RSC Dallas around 2010. I have had it recently serviced at an independent last March. I don’t wear it much, but I did notice it has a LEC. Is it standard practice for the RSC to change the crystal at every service if it’s not needed? I looked back at my invoice and noticed I wasn’t billed for a crystal replacement. Not that it matters to me I was just curious.

From what I know a full service includes glass replacement.

RSC will not change a sapphire crystal for free, only acrylic ones. If your crystal needs changed they will make a note when providing a quote and a price.

I was charged for the new crystal as a separate line item on my OP when it was at the RSC for service. Also it was optional since it was just chipped.
