The RBOW is just wonderful in terms of design and Rolexes history with PM and gems.
To not understand that, call it the "Gaytona" and see it as vulgar, then I would argue you don't know Rolexes history. |

This guy - Yossi Dina, has some incredible stock and from what he say´s on the show - some incredible prices too. This could be the link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trSslQRTqmw 310-774-1000 (Tel. California, USA).

I am not, and I mean not a fan of the nautilus. But in this case, the nautilus. Absolutely no way I would wear that version of the Daytona. I mean is just a screaming billboard that you paid a lot of money for your watch. PP in this matchup.

The guy is an all time middle man and charmer. No way he sells any aftermarket without full disclosure. That Michael should have bought all of them as the prices have risen.

So, (some) people buy these rainbow daytona´s @ hefty prices and then "pawn" or "sell" them to businesses like Yossi Dina´s. I do not rock bling-bling, but I did hear Yossi explain the craftsmanship that goes into making the watch. It presents a unique set of challenges to make. ************************************************** ***********

These are certainly not aftermarket, he had the old rainbow Daytona’s from a few years back in yellow and white gold.

I think that posting this in a "Rolex" forum is dictating the answers mostly...and I vote Rainbow Daytona.

In this price range I like the Lange Datograph Up/Down in Platinum.....or for more flash and still some money in the pocket the Platona.

Love them both, but of these two, it would be the Rainbow for me.

I wish I could get a 5711r at retail, I was on the waitlist before the prices became insane. It's the only watch I'd wear consistently over my 5712.

I'm not a fan of the Patek line; as I've said before, "Daytona is always the answer."

The rainbow is insanely insane in person. Like truly stunning. I didn't understand it until I saw one in the metal. Wow oh wow. And I like that on the everose they made the hour markers resemble baguette cuts. So insane. So stunning. I would love to own one to wear not flip at somepoint.... the market is just nuts on them though. I've thought about aftermarket ones but honestly for this piece oem factory stones or go home.

If you think the resale on a 5711R is good, check out any of the three different Rainbow Daytona variants. The pave dial and diamond bracelet is pushing $400K. 5711R is the better everyday watch of the two, but the Daytona is better financially.

If they offering the rainbow...clearly a baller. I’d use the baller status and demand the 5711r as well. Then drop the mic

We all know, I just think one is still a watch and the other is just $$$ now, so again for me no comparison, I'm a watch fan and the other is what is killing this hobby.

I'm definitely not a Rainbow guy - PP over Rolex, no diamonds, let alone coloured diamonds...
...but I would definitely buy the Rainbow. You see, the Rainbow is just so much beyond the things about it I should hate. It is a watch that, in my opinion, has no equal. You can't hate it, and even if you did, it wouldn't care. It is a watch that wears you, the one watch to rule them all, and I would love to see what that feels like on my wrist. The 5711r? Beautiful watch, but no way... |
