Scratched the 116655 Yachtmaster itch

So I said that if I came across one at a good price I would get it - so I did and I did !
Had never tried one on before today but had more or less committed myself.

Nice mint 2017 example and the seller even changed the Oysterflex and sized is to its smallest setting for me - so a great buying experience.

I still think its a beautiful watch.
The warmth of the rose gold with black really brings a lovely contrast.
Feels nice on the wrist - certainly not as heavy as my ex 116619LB and I actually find the Oysterflex quite comfortable so far although think it may still be a little large but lets see.

But I’m not saying “wow” - not yet anyway.
I think (hope) its probably a grower from a love it perspective.

Anyway - the obligatory foto.

Congrats.
The YM reference fits like no others in the line up IMHO.

The 116655 is a beautiful piece. I’m still in the honeymoon phase only acquiring mine last February.

I tried one of these on recently at my AD. I've always been intrigued by the model and really loved it as soon as I had it on my wrist. The flat black dial is really special once you look at it in-person. It's like the ultimate weekend watch to me - comfortable with just the right amount of flash.

I think this may be next on my list (after a BLRO) and my first dive into full PM Rolex models. Extra plus is they put the new 3235 movement in this one this year alongside the release of the WGYMOF.

Congrats! I got mine earlier this year and love it. Matte dial with matte bezel and matte-ish rubber, juxtaposed with super shiny rose gold looks amazing.

I absolutely love mine! For me it’s not a Daily only because for me a daily doesn’t exist. I just can’t wear one watch every day.
