Never. I do a lot of fundraising; work in which too expense of a watch, car or clothes can get in the way of asking for money. It’s just a dynamic in working with donors.

Yup. With my OCPs. Or the Panerai. Either match perfectly.

Can’t believe so many here work. Sounds arduous.

Sure do. I have a 4 day 10 hour per day schedule. I’ll wear my sub for 2 days and my DJ41 for the other 2. How I spend my hard earned money is not my boss’s problem.

I’m a streetcar operator (TTC) and wear my Rolex, Tudor and Omega on rotation daily. They are made to be worn and loved!

I guess that old adage works if your goal is to always work for that same boss...

It is not. I read the context incorrectly. I am in the construction/development industry as well. Wear mine every day but I’m also not doing any manual labor.

I wore my Explorer II to work everyday for 23 years. Now retired and have several watches I wear in rotation.

Depends on the cases/ caseload. Not so busy days- definitely. Busy days- Panerai‘s, IWC’s or Omega’s. I cherish my Rolex’s more.

I wear my sub everyday since I'm the boss. I do enjoy seeing my employee's wear their rollies to work.

After reading many of the posts here, I never realized how great it was/is work with people who could care less about your title, rank, the label on your clothes, or worry if you are "out-dressing" your boss (yuck!)

In my profession it's all about your job performance...

I'll bet 90% (or maybe higher) could care less about the watch you wear (in a negative way). Unless you are rocking the Rolex Rainbow, you have a fairly plain gold or steel colored watch.

Wear the Rolex and enjoy!

No...I can’t. I work in sales and it sends the wrong message to my blue collar clients...and I don’t say that to be snarky. I’m very much middle class myself. I choose to spend my money other things than them but they wouldn’t understand that. Trust me I know from experience. Sadly people can be very judging these days in the US at least.

I wear Tudor and they are none the wiser and I’m just as happy.

Truth be told when someone notices a Tudor...it’s a wink and a nod as they are a watch guy themselves lol. It’s the reason my Wife wears a tank lol

Yes, I bought mine to wear it to almost every occasion. Life is too short and I want to enjoy it to the fullest. Also it’s not like I asked my work people to chip in for my Rolex so why should I care about what they think?

I always worry that someone will think I make too much etc. I find myself trying to ensure no one else notices it. That being said I am single with no kids. I just happen to have more play money than most people I work with.
