What do you think? I've been wearing my Yema Superman daily since last summer, on either the bracelet or a Tropic strap, and I'm still totally in love with it. It's not often that a watch with real history gets reissued and practically looks identical to the original, and I find it a steal for $1200. It really feels like traveling back 50 years to buy a watch.

The only slight issue that I have is that the bezel alignment is slightly off (about an 1/8th of a sec.) I called them and they said that "It is very difficult to align it perfectly with the bezel lock." Well...ok. In looking back at both vintage and reissue Yema Superman watches online, I've found that lots of them are slightly off, so I've learned to live with it (I've seen higher end watches with the same issue, even Rolex.)

Other than that, this watch checks all the boxes for me, and it has an easy to service ETA 2824, to boot. I don't even miss my five-digit Sub. In fact, I prefer the Yema.

Good looking diver. I've only seen them in photos, but I am intrigued.

How did you find the diver? The bezel lock, how does it feel?

How about their chronographs? Any good?

I haven't owned a Superman, but I did own a Navygraf Heritage for a month or two. It was a nice watch - the quality was good, their 'in-house' movement kept great time and I really enjoyed the aesthetic.

Things I didn't like - the end links don't articulate much and the watch's effective lug-to-lug width is wider than what's on their website. I have a 6.25" wrist and the dimensions worked perfect for me, but I suspect those with narrower wrists will not have the same good experience. I have heard rumors that they've fixed this now and all their newer pieces have slightly shorter lugs with end links that articulate much better.

Also, I purchased this watch for roughly $450 on the pre-owned market and at that price I was beyond impressed. Some have complained about poorly aligned bezels, but mine was fine and only had a little bezel play, which is more than acceptable for what I paid for it.

I have observed that their overall case material / build quality doesn't change much between their Navygraf ($600 watch) and their more expensive Superman watches ($1000+). Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $600-700 for these watches, because I feel like that's the sweet spot for quality-value with Yema (The Navygraf and Superman line-up at least).

Yema has really been intriguing me lately. Cool history, cool styling, good pricing. The Rally Graf and Superman are awesome.

Same here. Especially for their pricing. They have some really cool and unique pieces. I’ll probably add a Rallygraf soon, at the price point they are at they seem like they are a good value.

Those bronze Superman’s with the green and Boudreaux straps are pretty amazing looking too.

Glad I came across this thread. I thought I was the only one checking these things out pretty hard.

Looks and feels good. The date and day are just not perfectly aligned. But livable.

^ i was describing the Flygraf Heritage.

Were you asking about the Flygraf Pilot?

This one i surprisingly like more than expected. Simple and robust.

I pulled the trigger on the Flygraf Pilot. Under $700 for auto movement and sapphire crystal? Only a few manufacturers can pull this off.

I agree. Which did you get? M1 or M2?

I got the M2 on the leather strap. I noticed that you had the leather strap and I trusted your judgment. I thought that the canvas strap looked too casual and, may I say, ragged.

Watch Gecko reviewd the watch and showed it on a brown leather strap with white stitching that looked appealing. I will see how I like the supplied strap first.

Thanks for the inspiration! I am changing up on my massive Seiko collection. Almost bought the white faced Samurai with sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel. Probably will get that at some point.

Thank you for reminding me of a favorite watch that I have never worn. I bought it via the internet around 15 years ago or more from Chronometer.net in Chicago. I loved the design, but was shocked by the size. A titanium donut! So I never wore it. I have not seen it in about 10 years.

Thanks to this thread I dug it up and was surprised that it shrank! It must have lost a lot of moisture in that triangular box. It used to be a giant and now it's almost as small as my everyday Sub. I will check on it again in around 3 years because then it might have shrunk to the right size for me.

Allons enfants de la patrie...

Darn. I will try to post a picture that does not require downloading.

Super. A classic design. Your picture makes the dial look almost as dark as an M1. Is it lighter or darker than that in person? You bought it directly from Yema? Tres bien!

Wear it in sound health.

I bought it directly from Yema. For those like me who want the watch now, it went from France to metro New York in a flash. Really superior customer service.

This photo was taken in my house in somewhat dark conditions. It was a gloomy day outside here. I suspect that in bright sunlight, the M2 is gray. However, looking at it on the couch, it looks more black. It is an attractive pilot watch, a little different than the typical design.

The back of the watch has a really nice engraving. Not that anyone but me will see it.

I highly recommend it and I am a huge watch collector. Good price for in house movement and sapphire crystal.

Update for those few intrepid Yema Flygraf M2 fans. I wore my watch outside in the blazing sunshine today. It is clearly gray in color. It has a fascinating pattern on the dial that is most visible in bright lighting.

After a few days,I am really enjoying this watch. My only minor complaint is that I wish it were a little thinner. I think it is thick because it is water resistant to 900 feet. I wouldn’t go swimming with this watch, so a thinner watch with less water resistance would be my preference. But far from a deal breaker.
