What I had hoped for at Basel...

Was a remake of the big red Daytona 6263. It could have been made with the new black ceramic bezel and hopefully in SS as I believe tool watches should be made of. Well, that didn't happen. They did reflect on history with the new Pepsi so maybe it's still possible to bring to the market a new 6263 with some modern touches. I guess you might say why not buy a 6263? I have set some practical limitations on what I should put into the hobby and unloading some of my babies would be a tough decision to make. I, for one would like a modern that would be sized more like my big block Tudor with nicely tapered lugs. For now, I guess I can wait one more year with my big block. What about you guys. Would you like a big red remake?

Only if it has lug holes, rattly oyster bracelet, no SELs & the tinfoil clasp.
Bah humbug on the new heavy Rolex & Tudor watches.
I'll keep my old ones and take them to the grave.

Nice homage to a classic. It would be nice to see.

Exactly what I was hoping for as well. Rather see solid contrasting sub dials rather than circular outlines only- a more literal representation of the original Daytonas.

I would like the solid sub dials better also. This is the best pic I could find of what I have in mind.

The BB does it for me

Best bang for the buck IMO. I'm quite fond of your dial/bezel combo

Mine says hello. If you turn it sideways and squint just a little, it's a Daytona
