Thinning the Herd

I am contemplating selling a few of my Rolex watches...
Which 2 would you keep for the "rest of your life" and why?

- Yachtmaster - Blue Dial
- SD43
- Daytona C - White Dial
- Batman
- Hulk
- Milgauss Z-Blue

(have Tudor Black Bay 36 for my "beater watch")

Thanks in advance for your opinions and advice

Daytona and BLNR because they are my favorites out of the bunch, and maybe from Rolex in general besides a regular Sub or Sub date

From your list, I would keep the SD and the D500 for sure. But...I would keep the LV and the BLNR, too, unless there is a super compelling reason that you need the cash.

I would keep them all but if you MUST, then I would keep the Daytona and green sub

Daytona and LVc must stay. Both complement each other and are blue-chip Rolex stock.

I'd go two ways. Either the Daytona and BLNR or the Daytona and SD.

ha, there are the SUB people and GMT people. Myself I've gotten a lot of use out of the GMT functions. My heart still skips a beat when I see a worn-in sub...

I say you can't lose with a SUB or a GMT and keep the damn Daytona. Really

Two is not enough. If you need to downsize sell the Milgauss and Black Bay, then the YM would be the third to go.

BLNR, Hulk, DC500, and SD43 is a primo SS collection.

very tough decision.
I would keep 3 because this is what my Rolex collection would represent:

- SD43
- Daytona C - White Dial
- Batman

You’ve got a nice collection of Rolexes, I would gladly wear any of them. My favorite two Rolexes are the Daytona white C and BLNR and I’m luckily enough to own them both, so that would be my choice but really there are no wrong choices here.

I’d sell of one at a time starting with the one you like least. See how you feel after ones gone and so on ...

That really is a pair to beat a full house, but damn it - someone has to show that Yacht-master some love. So I vote for that.

My gut reaction is to keep the Hulk as the second watch, but that's a lot of color, and also is functionally redundant. As such, I think the BLNR would be a more practical pairing with the Y-M, and would also be more understated.

Daytona and SD43. The Daytona is a Daytone, nothing else to be said. The SD43 is everything a Sub is with more presence and an awesome bracket.

If you have to pair down, then Id go either Daytona and Batman - or - Daytona and SD43. These combos offer variety - - different dial colors, different features/functions (chronograph vs. dive watch) and potentially 2 different sizes (if you go with the SD).

I love threads like this. Every possible combo will be suggested multiple times, and the OP will be just as confused as when he started.
