Question for Seiko Owners.

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at adding a Seiko to the collection , Specifically a Turtle not sure yet if a Padi or Save the Ocean version.

I've never owned any Seikos and I'm wondering if Seiko Rotors are noisy?, This might sound like a strange question but asking because I've had ETA based watches in the past in which I hated the rotor noise (7750 models).

So is the Turtle mvmt noisy like an ETA or not??

Thanks.

Yes, you can hear it swirling around. Still fun watches though.

I think you can hear any rotor if you put it up to your ear. When wearing my Seiko's I can't hear it.

mine is quieter than a 7750.
get the turtle......it's a great looking watch, wears waaay smaller than it's actual size, and it's a freakin bargain for a quality automatic dive watch

I can hear it more on my SKX than on the Turtle, but it's not as loud as the rotor on my Steinhart with the ETA 2824-2.

7750 is a hummer for sure. But man they are some super sweet movements.

I've got a Seiko diver that I can feel the rotor moving in.

If you raise it up from your waist to your ear you may hear a quiet discernable swirl.

But who cares? This is Seiko.
Enjoy it for what it is.
Mine's a Frost Monster.
Gets more compliment than my ( invisible )
DJ

Cheers
