What monthly spring drive accuracy numbers you getting?
Just finished up my 30th day of tracking my new-to-me SBGA001. Figured since it's my first spring drive I'd keep a close eye on it and see what it is capable of.
This is what I wound up getting after day 30 +7.4 seconds for the month +.02 seconds/day average Most accurate watch I own. Curious what kind of numbers you guys are getting on your spring drives? I'm pretty impressed so far |

Beautiful watch, congratulations on it.
I recently picked up my first spring drive (and first GS, ha), the SBGA415 "Winter" model, just over a month ago. I haven't checked the accuracy as rigorously as you have, but anecdotally I reset the watch once approximately 17 days ago and since that time it has gained 5 total seconds, making the daily accuracy somewhere around 0.3 sec/day. It's the most accurate mechanical watch I've ever owned. |

My most accurate watch in my Speedmaster. I just checked right now, I'm +2 seconds since I reset the time around the 4th of July. I do wind it every morning, even if I don't wear it that day.
I think that is remarkable, especially for a non spring drive. edit: sorry to hijack the Spring Drive topic. |

BTW, it's the same accuracy I'm seeing with my solar Tuna, which is a regular quartz with no mechanical parts involved. Kudos to SD, then! |

I've never timed my g-shock but it seems like it's in the same general ballpark judging from the times I've reset it. Good to know the spring drives and right up there with a standard quartz watch for accuracy. Sent from my Galaxy S20 using Tapatalk |

Thanks, yes it's one of the few watches I've bought from a store on impulse. Spotted it in a Seiko dealer in Hiroshima a few years ago, and couldn't resist. I've worn it most days since.

My new SBGA469 I set the time exactly with seconds at 12, I reckon in five days it is out about half a second.....pretty darn good!
Love lining up the swordfish hands with my imac clock on the minute. |

My Seiko Prospex LX SNR041 gains .08 secs/day. It’s gained 2.7 seconds in 32 days. I have 4 Spring Drives and this is the most accurate. My least accurate is an SNR031. It runs at 0.3 secs/day.
They’re all amazing. They’re all I wear. I’m a convert…….

That
Is awesome, I’ve had my new spring drive on for six days and the accuracy is taking over my existence always checking, my other watches are in retirement.
How I have lived for this long without such accuracy I do not know. It’s insane. |

I know. It’s easy to get spoiled. I actually really like the power reserve indicator as well. I use them more than I expected to.

Nice pix Adam
Could you improve the accuracy with a new battery? E.

Thanks
Thanks Eddie. It had a free battery change and pressure test last year. Before that it would lose a second every couple of months, but the 9F can be regulated quite easliy and I'm guessing the service centre tweaked it at the time.

I think there's a very good chance you will. On another forum I read a March 2121 post by someone who purchased and set an SBGN007 (which is what I have) in July 2019 and now - slightly short of 2 years later - he is accurate within 1/2 a second. My own SBGN007 is now 55 days since I set it and it's MAYBE .02 seconds ahead. That would annualize to .14 seconds over a year if it keeps it up. The 9F movement is really something special; GS watches seem to under promise and over deliver.

It’s been 24 days since I last set the time on my SLGA007. It’s still dead on.
