Scratch on the bezel

Is there anything I can do about this scratch. It's driving me crazy.

I'm sure that can be polished out for the most part, if not entirely. However, this is inevitable, albeit unfortunate. When it gets serviced in the future it'll come back to you almost as new, pretty much.

The signs of wear add character to a watch. I do understand how incredibly frustrating this is though, particularly in that spot. A scratch on a bracelet or clasp is one thing, but with each glance at the time you're reminded of this.

I'll bet it's less noticeable with the naked eye vs. in a macro shot.

For a temporary DIY you might try a Bergeon fibre scratch pen.

Make sure not to touch polished surfaces and try it out on an inconspicuous place like the inside of the clasp to compare the satin finish.
Follow the direction of the grain and go easy. Better 100 light strokes and stay in control than overdo it.

Why not stop by the GS Boutique and see what they say.

I wouldn’t touch GS finishing by myself. Anyway, other scratches surely will come.

Howdy,

That looks deep. I messed with a blemish on a watch once and it was a disaster that I regret to this day. My advise, let it go.

Ever see what the Millennium Falcon looked like before Han got it? “She may not look like much but she’s got it where it counts”. Prize it for what it is.

Take care,

Ruddiger

I wasn't thinking of trying anything myself. But I liked the comment about the millennium falcon. May the force be with you
