New C - Thanks to HKPerf

All the way from the West Coast - one of the new arrivals. Will post a review and better pics later. I am very pleased with the changes and despite what some have said, they seem relatively subtle to me and if you saw the new sub at a distance or were not a real WIS, I doubt you could tell it was the new model.

A few quick wrist shots. The last two pics are one of the former version of the sub for comparison (I don't own it any longer so couldn't do a side by side) and a Deepsea (I also don't own any longer as I found it a bit too bulky for every day wear). Enjoy.

Quick impressions:

heavier and has more wrist presence. Adjustable clasp is excellent and really gives you a lot of room for adjustment. I am going to enjoy that aspect quite a bit as my wrists seem to swell at times.

New antiglare date window is also nice - just like GMTII-C.

To me, this watch is like a more wearable and refined version of the new Deepsea (which I found too thick for regular wear). Enjoy the quick wrist shots and feel free to ask questions, I am glad to share my impressions.

That, my friend, is a thing of beauty. In the press pictures it looked "blockey" and out of proportion. However the wrist shots tell a different story and it looks super cool.

Enjoy!!

Thanks for the comments. I am really enjoying it and think the upgrades were right on target. This really is a perfect "one" watch.

That's really nice Dob. I'm really thinking about the GreenSub as I already have 16610. Did you try the GreenSub by any chance? Would love to know what you think.

Did not get to try the green sub. My thoughts are as follows, however.
When I first saw pics of it, thought it was perhaps the most g-d-awful thing I had ever seen. Could not imagine wearing it. Once I saw real world pics of it, my opinion changed. I actually think it is a pretty good looking watch and the shade of green is much nicer than I originally thought. That being said, although I would consider it - I just feel the black is more useful and can be worn with a greater variety of things. I think the green, for me, would be a little limiting. I am wearing the subc with very casual clothes and with a suit during the week and works just fine. Not sure the greenie would look so appropriate with a dark blue suit...
