Same here - the black looks awesome in the new version. White dial I prefer the 116500 by a large margin.

Agree, and wonder if that number is low mid $20’s in 12-15 months from now. In 2020, $25k seemed crazy for the 116500 and it went to low $40’s in 12 months. Nice that those days appear to be gone.

I was following that one too (purely out of curiosity). First one on Moda AFAIK, so that sets the genuine market price. Obviously mark-ups for Joe Public by the greys will inflate it a bit, but that's still a long way short of the hype figures some were predicting.

Usually the first public comp is the high water mark—as more come to the market pricing tends to recede.

That said, 36.8 is what, 2.5x retail? Not too shabby.

Considering VTNRs came out of the gate at $45k, and thats for a watch that half the people dislike. A new Daytona only selling for 5K more then the old one, is a shock for the first one on the market.

I predict, the 126500 will settle at $30K and the 116500 will be at $27K both for the Panda versions.

Sorry but what's a "Darth Vader" supposed to be (outside of the obvious)?

Ah thanks. I guess that could be it, considering this is a 126500 thread.

I think I heard some claim it was nicknamed the "Godzilla" or something for some unknown reason....or did I imagine that. I lose track TBH, so what another daft nickname between friends...

Another one out for 40,5k in Moda and they are trying to tell people it’s the first one. The auction one is gone.

Is that listed in the RWB section? I don’t see it in the main Moda group.

The watch is sold. You can find it at “Moda Watch club”.

That bezel is going to take hits. I think that ring will become the poster child of heavy polish jobs in 3-5 years similar to the rounded and washed out bezel markings of the 520s.

Thanks. I see it now. User error.

I typed 126500 in the search when the seller only used 126500LN.

Do we know how it will work with regard to just changing the ring? If I remember correctly, Rolex have stated that the metal and the ceramic is one piece (I.e. not an insert), so if you want the ring changed to a new one, you gotta pay for a new ceramic as well?

Pretty certain the guy listing it for (re)sale was the auction winner from a few days back. Interestingly, the original auction listing is gone as well. I suppose to mask the $3 or 4k flip fee...

Saw that too. It’s a lame way the greys are using to create artificial demand. The auction winner probably are in cahoots with the auctioneer

Likely whole bezel replacement for $1100 or something damn near the price of a full service.

Just looking at this thread again, really seems like people prefer the older 116500 panda. The market prices for new one coming down and seems the old one going up. Perhaps go the way of hulk vs Starbucks but maybe not to same degree just yet.. certainly wouldn’t consider paying a premium for the new one. I do like the new 126500 black however.

Prefer old version of both due to bezel. Like the new dial though on both.

I believe once the 126 becomes more available the price for the 116 will surpass it, at least in panda version. The 126 in black is nicer, but the larger chunk of ceramic I wish they would have kept.
