Almost 10 years old- question about WG Pearl surround damage 116610LVc

You can see the burr damage on bottom of WG surround, I thought I read RSC has a tool to remove the whole part to replace.

Not needing a new insert, did I read this post correctly a few years ago, they can just pop it out and install the new part ? It has the blue color lume. No need to replace the whole insert

Looks normal

To me your watch looks like a well enjoyed 10 year old watch. I would just leave everything for your service and let them to their magic to give it a light polish to freshen it up. Nice watch by the way!

I think they’ll mandate a fix on damage or possibly not guarantee water resistance. Not sure. Either way I’ll ask for just a bracelet polish if they’ll do that

I believe they have to replace the whole pip. The pip bezel is damaged

That's barely noticeable to be honest. I wouldn't worry one bit.

I believe Rolex recommends service every 10 years so you might as well send it in. They will have it looking like new for you.

You do know that the bezel forms no part of the watch’s water proofing don’t you?

Did you ask for a full service or did they only offer to fix the bezel pip if you serviced?

Only 4 weeks, that's great.
Total service costs are very cheap including the 80$ pip exchange imho

If your insurance will pay for the service
Do all the items they say are wrong with your watch
It will be good for another 10 years

I love threads like this, thanks for sharing. It's great to see how the modern references might look a decade down the line. These things are now built for the long, long haul and this one is perfect evidence of that.

They wouldn’t cover the dial spotting or scratches on the crystal which I couldn’t see those issues anyway. And the tool marks on the back of case lugs I didn’t care and they didn’t polish the case anyways.

The bracelet looks fantastic though. I should’ve posted results earlier but I had been busy. Plenty of time now though

Looks good, I would have done the same with leaving case and brushing the bracelet.

Yes
It was hit pretty hard.
Could’ve messed up something and didn’t want to take a chance on anything

This was dropped off on February 14 and received back 23 days later prior to the CHINA outbreak mess going crazy here in the United States. Not sure if there’re open now
