SS Skydweller or SS Daytona C
Skydweller for me. Nothing was really pulling me watch wise of late, but the new SkyD release has sparked my interest. Need to see one in the flesh and see how it wears.
Tried 4 Daytona's over the years and never bond with them. Not sure if it's the size or maybe chronos just aren't my thing. Really digging some of the configurations of the SD though.

I've only tried on 2 Daytonas and felt they were a little small, so maybe SkyD.....

I think it's not a fair comparison... But Daytona all the way.

Daytona is better proportioned. Sky Dweller is overly massive and wears as such.

Daytona, I use Chronograph function a lot and has a charm whereas Sky Dweller can get the most complex movement ever put into a Rolex case, new model is perfectly positioned between Date just and Day Date

The Sky Dweller smashes the Daytona out of the water its just the masses are not used to this fact yet and that is because it has previously been unattainable to the masses. The Sky Dweller is Rolexes premium watch with its best complication. The Sky Dweller model is only in its infancy. It does not yet have the following and history of the Daytona. Therefore the Daytona will win this argument at this moment in time. 5 to 10 years from now people will have a far different view between these 2 watches. Mark my words!!

Skydweller for sure
To think it's not that far off affordable for the masses is fantastic news |

Both! I'm loving my DaytonaC and thought about flipping it for the new SkyD, then realized I'd miss it so better to just keep it and buy the SkyD when it comes out. If I find that one is getting significantly more wrist time, can always sell it down the road. Or flip it for something else.

I like both watches and will eventually own a PM Sky Dweller or two. I also like the Daytona-C and will also own one of those once the silliness dies down and I can purchase one at MSRP. IF I had to choose between the SS Sky Dweller and the SS Daytona-C, I would go Sky Dweller first if you have the wrist to pull it off. Great movement and is very unique. I like the blue dial in the SS.

I was just thinking about the same thing.
I think the New Daytona C is a better looking watch in a more comfortable size. I have no use for a Chronograph, and it's very annoying not to have a date. The Skydweller has two very useful and practical complications, but it's pretty big and not as attractive in my opinion. I don't think I'll get either, hopefully Rolex with come out with a downsized Skydweller eventually, or I can only hope inculcate the Annual Calendar complication into the Daytona. |

Sky Dweller for wrists 7 inch and larger. Daytona too small.

Got my name on the waitlist for both and I'll take what comes first but hopefully can have both when available. I know I'm greedy.
SkyD would be more useful as I travel often but the Daytona fits my wrist better. Tough choice. Thanks for posting, really interested in all the feedback. |
