Got this odd Speedy from Japan - 3513.33

When I saw this watch I searched for a few months for the best specimen I could find. Hilariously, the whole time I was looking I thought the dial was white but in person it is definitely silver. I'm apparently blind.

Forgive my ignorance, I'm just learning the nuances of "Speedy." The Seahorse on the caseback I usually associate with SeaMasters. There is a "Speedy" seahorse as well?

Can I ask what you paid in Customs from Japan? I have my eye on one from there currently but don't want to get with a huge fee after.

The seahorse is a general symbol for Omega watches. It probably began with diving models as Omega has a rich history in that watch genre. Now, however, the seahorse is ubiquitous with almost all Omega watches.

I don't believe we have to pay any import duties in the States. At least I never have. BTW This watch is now FS - catch and release. I bought some vintage Rolexes that pushed my watch budget WAAAAY over the limit so a few of these watches have to say goodbye.
