I love them both and put them both in my rotation
I have a sentimental attachment to my subC being my first Rolex and an achievement reminder for me! Otherwise I would go with the BLNR |

I use to own both. I would say the BLNR The PCL concern is overblown. You tiny scratches you may get will not be a bother later on.
Although the SubC is the “cornerstone” of Rolex, as some say. It is also boring in a sea of people wearing black subs. In fact, I got a LVc instead and that plus the BLNR adds some variation Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I wear my blnr everyday and love it. Who cares if you get a little scratch here and there! I enjoy these watches! These are Rolex tanks built to last and be worn daily. Rock that piece! They all get scratched up eventually.

The only thing I didn't like about the BLNR was the PCL.

I have worn a 114060 mostly as a daily for the last 14 months but I've just taken my new BLNR off the wrist after completing it's first week of wearing it for work. Hand on heart, the BLNR is gorgeous, that splash if blue makes a huge difference, but I know come Monday morning the Sub will be back on my wrist. Putting it back on tonight was like putting a comfortable pair of slippers back on. After staring at the busy dial of the BLNR all week and having the Cyclops has made me realise how much I appreciate the simplicity and symmetry of the Sub. I'm lucky to be able to own both but I certainly wouldn't have given up the Sub to attain it. BTW I think the Sub looks superb on your wrist and so does your ink.... good luck with your decision.

With the information provided, I'd vote SubC.

I wear my BLNR on the daily. The scratches on the PCL do not bother me as I find it to be character of the watch. It is however more flashy than my sub

I'd keep what you have or possibly just add the BLNR. If I were limiting myself to two sport Rolexes, I'd rather have an Explorer II, especially if it's a polar, and a Sub than an Explorer II and a BLNR. Ideally, however, I'd have all three...and a Hulk...and a white dial Daytona C...and an Explorer I...but that's a lot of overlap...or maybe not.

I'd go for the blnr unless you dive often. GMT complication is more useful for more people and the splash of color doesn't hurt one bit.

BLNR is a great daily wearer. Dump the Sub and get it (never mind the overblown bracelet PCL-scratch phobia, it's like being afraid of little bugs).
False. A Sub is certainly not essential to any Rolex collection, never mind being "The Cornerstone" of them all Perhaps you're confusing your own preferences with the Rolex-collecting world at large? |

Considering you already have Explorer 2 I would recommend Sub C.
It has been my daily for years. Sent from my SM-N935F using Tapatalk |

I would try to keep the Sub like the rest if possible and get a BLNR.
You will enjoy the BLNR but will surely miss the Sub and end up buying one again if you get rid of it. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Something about the simplicity and symmetry of a no-date Sub pairs really well with the tattoos, IMO. Here's mine, although it's a 5-digit.

I have both. I put SubC bracelet on BLNR and a black leather on Sub. Happy with the setup.

You will miss the glidelock bracelet. No better bracelet (period)!

Not sure I’d sell a subC for a BLNR. But personally, I own both and I think I do wear the gmt more than the sub. I actually get a better fit with the easy link bracelet than I do the glidelock. I also really like PCL’s.

For true daily that can’t take anything the world throws at it and still look great it has to be the 114060. For date, GMT, looks and practicality the BLNR

The BLNR may just clash too much with your colorful tattoo. So I would stick with your sub unless you plan on having your tattoo removed.
