At least it was made by visionary counterfeiters back in the early 90's as they fitted a style of bracelet and clasp that was only going to be used by Rolex decades later on other models ...

I noticed that as well but keep in mind that the SE Asian countrys are always 15-20 years ahead of us.

You're right , I did overlook that well known fact . For the same reason Hong Kong sellers were offering ceramic bezel Submariners on Ebay before Rolex presented them at Baselworld . My mistake

Adrian, the bracelet style of your watch wasn't introduced (made) by Rolex before the year 2000. Can you explain how the fakers could have imagine it in 1991?

So how about cutting the BS?

Your watch is a typical "beach hut" Rolex that is available throughout Asia, on the Beach, in the back rooms of the beach shops etc.

Have you been to Asia? Then you would know the shops that sells genuine Rolex and are Rolex AD's (Authorized Dealers) don't sell this kind of crap.

Let's say one of them did, in your case, back in 1991, with a bracelet style from 2000.

Was this car parked on the corner?

...you did NOT purchase that watch from an Authorized Rolex dealer, with a Rolex sign outside the building.

...they simply would NOT sell such a COUNTERFEIT.

Since nobody has mentioned it, the Rolex Day-Date was never made in two-tone, stainless and gold. They are solid gold!!!!!! Since your watch is way outside the parameter of being solid gold, one can only conclude it is a fake Rolex. It is not even a counterfeit Rolex since Rolex never made such a model like the watch depicted in the photo. (Counterfeits are unauthorized replicas of genuine watches.)

I don't think anyone wanted to make it so simple for Adrian. Most, if not all of us know Rolex never made a TT DD.

Maybe Bill, but I would gamble that over 50% of the people wearing a Rolex would not have a clue that a Day-Date only comes in solid gold.

This does not take away anything from the fact that the original poster is probably a "poser" and knows more than he's letting on here.
