To me there are at least 5 differnet Dials out there. I have a Mark IV, which is the first service dial, still with tritium.

Lots of stunning watches in this thread.

Definitely undervalued compared to the reds.

Submariner 1680 Whites : twins, but not identical.

Question for all you 1680 owners, is your 93150 bracelet fully brushed on the edges? Or polished?

I'm talking about the small sections between the inside and the outside of the bracelet that you can see when you look at the watch from the sides.

Thanks!

Just kind of learning about the vintage world, and stumbled onto what I think is a perfect 1680. This is quickly becoming my favorite daily wearer.

Great resource here!

Looks like i have a Mk I based on the description above....haven't taken the bracelet off but I believe it's a 5.8Mil serial from 1978.

Certainly looks to be a Mk I dial but '78 would be quite late for a Mk I... (from what I've seen anyway)

Once you confirm the serial, it would be good to know the year.

Thanks! Confirmed it's a 5.4 M serial number.

Maybe the dial was replaced in a service at some point? I'm pretty sure the bracelet is original or at least period accurate.

I do think the hands were replaced because they're not a 100% exact match but they are pretty close. I know the pearl was replaced. Even so, i absolutely love this bad boy.

The White 1680 Mk I II and III dials were used simultaneously throughout the production of the Whites, so your Mk1 on a 54 serial numbered watch would be period correct

They're starting to come up now while being discovered. Always have preferred these without the red text myself. Nice pair.

Anyone know a reasonable price range for something like the 1680 with papers and service papers above?

Every watch is different in condition and history / accessories, but you’ll be heading towards around £10,000 GBP now. Sorry if I work in foreign money :-)

They don't make 1680's anymore, so if you have one just enjoy them. I have certainly enjoyed mine as a daily wear.
